Chapter 115: [Fairy Tale] He Has a Little Gray Wolf (40)
The knights looked at the vicious dragon in confusion, and a few of the bolder ones began walking toward the edge of the forest.
Sure enough, the dragon merely lifted its eyelids, casting a highly disdainful glance at the departing knights.
"Dragon, will you really not unleash your breath weapon randomly again? The plants here have all been burned to ashes by your fire!" one of the knights asked boldly.
Panting heavily, the dragon retorted, "Do you think we dragons are like you humans? We value our credibility above all else! I never go back on my word!"
Seeing that the knights were moving too slowly, the dragon snorted heavily from its nostrils, blowing away all the knights who had lingered behind.
Exhausted after exhaling that blast of air, the dragon collapsed onto the ground. It opened its eyes and looked at Asi beside it, saying pitifully in a raspy voice, "I have no strength left. I need a kiss from big sister to feel better."
Looking at the dragon, Asi couldn't help but recall when she was pushed off the Reincarnation Platform. By then, Little White had already turned into a massive black dragon, far more handsome and majestic than the one before her.
"You want a kiss? But Ryder will be unhappy." Asi blinked, tilting her head to observe Ryder, who had been stealing glances at her. She smiled and said, "Asi can only kiss Ryder. I can't kiss anyone else."
*It's wrong to kiss others,* Asi thought, pursing her lips.
"Ryder, I am your guardian dragon! You shouldn't be so stingy!" The dragon looked at Ryder with a touch of resentment.
Ryder completely ignored the dragon. His heart swelled with sweetness at Asi's words about only kissing him. He couldn't help but curl the corners of his lips, and even the tips of his ears flushed red.
"I don't... I don't want you anyway. Asi, let's... go home."
"Alright."
Asi glanced at the dragon lying on the ground. "Little dragon, you should go back home quickly. It's not safe here. I know you didn't mean any harm with your fire breath—you were just in a bad mood—but the knights will think you're an evil dragon."
Asi crouched down, her dark eyes clear and bright, as if sprinkled with starlight. Her gentle tone made the dragon narrow its eyes slightly, letting out a soft sigh.
"Yes, knights are all bad guys!" the dragon grumbled angrily. Disregarding Asi's wishes, it rested its head against her side, gently nuzzling her.
"Big sister, I'll miss you. I have to go now."
Asi nodded. She reached out to gently touch the dragon's cheek, stroking it softly again and again.
"Ryder, whether you agree or not, as long as you summon me, I will definitely come. Also, your magic is very powerful. Thank you." With that, the dragon took flight into the sky.
Asi remained crouched on the ground, looking up in the direction the dragon had flown.
Ryder stood beside her, his hands clenched into fists at his sides. His expression was unreadable as he spoke slowly, "Asi, he... he's gone."
His voice was somewhat raspy, and Ryder startled himself when he spoke. His heart was filled with an unbearable bitterness. Watching Asi crouch down, watching the dragon rest its head against her, watching her gently stroke the beast... every single image felt like a massive fire burning within his chest, making him feel utterly miserable.
*Asi can only belong to you.*
A voice suddenly whispered in his heart.
*No one else is allowed to get close to her. No one!*
Ryder bit his lower lip, his blue eyes churning with turbulent emotion.
"Ryder, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
Something pressed against his lips.
It was so warm.
