Chapter 3: This Man Is Far Too Extraordinary
“Hiss—!”
What a lunatic!
Lin Feng clenched his molars in agony. Though he’d always worked in an office, his iron self-discipline drove him to the gym daily; he could endure this much pain, and, facing a woman, he still had strength to resist.
But she had shackled his limbs with iron chains, each barely longer than ten centimeters. He had no idea what metal they were made of, only that they were unbreakably strong. Even straining with all his might, he couldn’t break free—he couldn’t even reach her.
And he hadn’t eaten for nearly a day.
“Let me go! I swear I won’t breathe a word about what happened yesterday. I’ve never seen you. I’ve never been here!”
He was frantic now.
But at his words, the woman’s eyes blazed with even fiercer flames.
Damn it!
She released his chin and seized him by the collar, her voice cold and sharp: “You want to cut all ties with me so badly?”
Damn it, was this woman insane? He didn’t even know her!
With his collar wrenched tight, Lin Feng felt his throat constrict, and he cursed, “I don’t know you at all! Don’t force me to call the police!”
At this, the woman suddenly laughed.
“Call the police?” She gazed down at him with mockery, the anger in her eyes fading into a wicked amusement. “Do you even know who I am?”
Chu Lingshuang.
The name flashed through Lin Feng’s mind—the name he’d vaguely heard on that rainy night.
All he could recall about it was the Chu family of the capital, a family shrouded in mystery, said to wield unimaginable power. He'd only heard the name while attending an elite gathering after helping the Xu family break into the Fortune 500.
Lin Feng knew nothing of this family, not even who its current head was.
She was testing him. Testing whether he’d recognized her, and whether he would keep her secret.
Lin Feng’s eyes flickered. He shook his head in silence. “Who you are has nothing to do with me, and I don’t want to know.”
Perhaps his indifference annoyed her, for the woman’s satisfaction faded.
She curved her lips, a hint of playfulness in her voice, and pressed on, “Since you don’t know, I’ll tell you—”
Her slender fingers gripped his collar with sudden force, yanking him to meet her gaze.
“Remember my name. I am Chu Lingshuang!”
She paused, then added with a teasing lilt, “Think about it—how many clans in the capital bear the name Chu?”
The Chu family.
That enigmatic dynasty rumored to control half the nation, casting its shadow over all beneath the heavens…
A flash of shock crossed Lin Feng’s eyes.
But right now, all he wanted was to leave. With his last savings, he could rent a room, take a long shower, find any job to muddle through—whatever she was, it was none of his concern, was it?
His surprise was fleeting, but they were close—close enough for her to catch it.
And that only stoked her fury.
“So you do know!”
Her eyes turned vicious. Her fingers dug into his collar, distorting the white shirt beneath her grip.
Since the truth was out, Lin Feng simply let go, repeating with indifference, “So what if I do? Whoever you are, it’s none of my business. Like I said, yesterday I was just caught in the rain on my way home. I’ve never seen you before.”
Never seen her? What a joke!
Chu Lingshuang’s anger blazed, thoroughly ignited.
Last night, she’d been betrayed, drugged by some schemer. At her most helpless, this man had appeared—she’d thought herself rescued at last.
For the first time in her life, she’d begged for help.
She had cast away her pride, gazing at him so desperately. Yet he’d turned his back on her, cold and indifferent.
Luckily, she’d found the pistol she always carried, and the chill of the rain had shocked her mind clear enough to escape.
But later, the drug’s effects overtook her again. Forced into an abandoned warehouse she’d never have set foot in otherwise, she had lost herself beside a stranger.
Only after the drug wore off did she truly see his face.
She ought to consider herself lucky—this man, with his fine brows and striking eyes, was handsome enough to please her.
At first, she’d only wanted to ask why he hadn’t saved her.
But unexpectedly, not only did he know her identity, but he was still so eager to disassociate himself!
She, the eldest daughter of a mighty family, could not so much as catch his eye?!
Never in her life had anyone dared ignore her this way.
Especially after what had happened between them!
This man was truly extraordinary. So extraordinary that she now burned with an overwhelming urge to conquer him.
“Very well.”
She curled her lips into a smile and abruptly released his collar.
Just as Lin Feng thought she might finally let him go, the mattress beside him suddenly dipped.
Her knee pressed down, and she straddled him, pinning his waist—
“What are you doing?!”
Lin Feng stared at her in disbelief, fists clenched as he strained against the chains. The metal groaned and clattered in protest.
In the vast bedroom, the sound of iron echoed loudly.
Chu Lingshuang narrowed her eyes, her hands swiftly seeking the buttons on his shirt, yanking them open with force.
In an instant, his clothes were torn aside, leaving him exposed to her unrelenting gaze.
It was a position of utter humiliation.
Made worse by the playful and scornful way she looked at him.
Chu Lingshuang sneered, her hands pressing against his chest. She leaned forward, her silky hair falling over her slender neck, the ends brushing across his skin.
It tickled unbearably.
And her soft, delicate touch sent an inexplicable thrill shooting through him.
“Not a bad body,” she remarked.
In fact, it was superb.
At least Chu Lingshuang had no doubt of that.
“You… you shameless woman!”
Lin Feng was truly anxious now. He was a man, yes, and had once had a shy girlfriend named Fang Ziyue, but even then, he believed these things should be mutual—he was never one to force anyone, and so he’d never experienced anything like this.
Thinking back on yesterday’s events, he was furious—how had he gotten tangled up in all this?
But when he first awoke, he’d resigned himself. He had nothing left to lose. Since he’d never been through something like this before, and since she was an extraordinary beauty, he supposed it wasn’t the worst thing that could have happened.
But he’d thought it was all over. And now—again?!
Especially in such a humiliating, degrading way—did she feel no shame at all?
At his words, Chu Lingshuang only smiled wider, her hands never pausing. “You’re the first man who’s ever dared provoke me like this!”
Sensing Lin Feng’s change, the amusement in her eyes deepened. Her hand slid downward and her gaze grew low and dark.
“I’ll make sure you remember me until your dying day.”
