"I'm really here to help you solve your problems," Qin Xuan said, then called out into the crowd, "Which one of you is Shan Hai?"

At his words, all four men in black were startled. The largest among them stepped forward, "I'm Ke Shanhai. Who are you, kid? If you're looking for trouble, just come on over. The four of us have never feared anyone!"

Qin Xuan felt a bit helpless. He was here to help, so how did he end up being mistaken for someone causing trouble?

"Don't you remember me? Look over there." Qin Xuan turned slightly and pointed toward where Su Muqing was standing. Everyone looked in that direction and saw a stunning woman in a professional outfit standing by the roadside, watching them with an air of boredom.

The city management officers immediately started drooling, but Ke Shanhai suddenly seemed to recall something and slapped his forehead in realization.

"You were that pretty boy last time, weren't you? What, still looking for trouble? I admit I can't beat you," Ke Shanhai said warily.

"..."

Qin Xuan was truly speechless. "I'm not a pretty boy. And I'm not here to cause trouble. I just want to ask what you're doing here."

"What business is it of yours?" Ke Shanhai shot back.

"Nothing really. It's just that you seem to be in a bit of trouble, so I thought of recommending a decent job to you. But it looks like I'll just drop it now." Qin Xuan shrugged and turned to leave.

"Wait, brother!" Ke Shanhai's eyes lit up at the mention of "job." "You said you have a job for us? What kind of job?"

It wasn't that Ke Shanhai lacked dignity; it was just that the four of them desperately needed work. Otherwise, they'd have nothing to eat. Ever since their encounter with Qin Xuan at the revolving restaurant, the four had been fired by Fatty Lei. Following Lei Jinde had made them many enemies, and after being let go, no one in the circle was willing to hire them. They were forced to perform on the streets to make a living.

To make matters worse, others would often look for trouble with them, making them instinctively think Qin Xuan was here for the same reason.

"Security guards. Well? Are you interested?" Qin Xuan said.

He'd thought of this as soon as he got out of the car. Last time at Tenglong International, Dongfang Qingwan was kidnapped by someone sent by Yang Weiyang, and he and Su Muqing were harassed by Fatty Lei. Qin Xuan was thoroughly dissatisfied with Tenglong International's security.

He mentioned it to Zhao Long, who replied, "If you come across any good candidates for security, recommend them. Tenglong International is huge, and security is lacking. I'll speak with Zhang Tianyu about it."

So, seeing Ke Shanhai and his brothers now, Qin Xuan remembered Zhao Long's words.

"Security? We'll do it—as long as there's food. But I need to ask something first." Ke Shanhai was happy, but still cautious.

"Why are you helping us?"

"Because I like you guys, and that place happens to need people," Qin Xuan replied with a smile.

"Haha, that's the first time I've ever heard someone say they like me, Ke Shanhai," Ke Shanhai said incredulously. His straightforward character had often led him to clash with superiors when he was in the army, which was why he was discharged from the special forces and his three friends were dismissed with him.

"Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. No need to belittle yourself. I'll give you a number. Call it and say Qin Xuan recommended you for security work. That'll settle it," Qin Xuan said, jotting down Zhao Long's number for them.

"Qin Xuan? I'll remember you. Thanks," Ke Shanhai said, clutching the number tightly and turning to his brothers, "Come on, let's go—got ourselves a job!"

The four hurried off, eager to find a phone booth to make the call.

"Alright, let's go," Qin Xuan said, returning to the car.

"What did you say to them?" Su Muqing asked curiously.

"I recommended them for security at Tenglong. I've been to Tenglong twice and had trouble both times. Their security is really inadequate," Qin Xuan replied, shaking his head in resignation.

"Wouldn't you say you're meddling?" Su Muqing teased.

"I suppose so. But it's a small thing, so why not?" Qin Xuan laughed.

The car drove off into the distance. The city management officers still wanted another look at Su Muqing, but their leader rapped each of them on the head. "Come on, let's go!"

"Hey, boss, do you know who that girl was just now?" one officer asked reluctantly, his gaze lingering.

"What, you want to make a move on her?" The leader shot him a glance. "You don't even know who she is. I was at a jewelry exhibition once, keeping order, and saw her there as one of the organizers. Do you think you have a chance?"

The officer was startled.

"The biggest jewelry company in Jinling belongs to the Su family. I'd bet that beauty is part of the Su family. Forget about it," the leader said, patting his shoulder and leading the team away.

...

General's Mountain, in the southern part of Jinling, was a scenic tourist spot with beautiful views. Though not as famous as Zhongshan Mausoleum, it boasted emerald waters and verdant hills, its scenery charming.

Golden Light Temple stood atop a secluded hill just outside the General's Mountain scenic area. The two parked their car at the base and climbed up on foot, soon arriving at the temple.

It wasn't a large temple, but the surroundings were pleasant, the air fresh and invigorating. Along the path to the temple, there were a few people, either tourists or devotees, so it didn't feel deserted.

Upon entering, they were greeted by two ancient pines, their trunks thick and likely centuries old, hinting at the temple's storied past and giving Su Muqing some peace of mind.

"Excuse me, where is Master Golden Light at the moment?" Qin Xuan politely asked a young monk sweeping the grounds.

"You're looking for my master?" the monk glanced at him. "He's not here. Leave your name and come back another time."

"What?" Qin Xuan was surprised. Master Golden Light wasn't present—was this trip all for nothing?

"When will the master return?" Qin Xuan pressed.

"Who knows?" The monk replied bluntly. "My master's a wanderer. Sometimes he's back in a few days, sometimes he's gone for a year or more. No one can say."

However, upon seeing Su Muqing standing behind Qin Xuan, the monk was clearly surprised, unable to fathom why such a beautiful woman would seek his master.

"Alright, thank you. My name is Qin Xuan. If your master returns, please let him know. We'll come back in a few days," Qin Xuan said.

Su Muqing frowned. "Qin Xuan, what now?"

"Nothing we can do. Let's head back," Qin Xuan replied with a smile, guiding the reluctant Su Muqing down the mountain.

Even after getting back in the car, Su Muqing's brows remained furrowed.

"Qin Xuan, shouldn't we ask if there's anyone else who can handle this?"

"No need. We'll come again tomorrow," Qin Xuan replied confidently, shaking his head.

"What? Do you mean Master Golden Light will be back tomorrow?"

"Trust me, he will," Qin Xuan said, signaling Su Muqing to drive.

Su Muqing was deeply skeptical, but seeing Qin Xuan's certainty, she said nothing and turned the car back toward Jinling University. She had nothing to do for the afternoon, but Qin Xuan still had military training.

Half an hour later, they finally approached the gates of Jinling University. Just then, a black Audi A6 suddenly roared past, overtaking them.

The intersection in front of the campus gates was at a red light, but the Audi didn't slow down at all, instead charging forward recklessly!

"Watch out!" Su Muqing cried anxiously.

Two girls were walking along the sidewalk, chatting and laughing, but the Audi barreled straight toward them, oblivious.

Qin Xuan saw the scene unfold, but he was still in Su Muqing's car and had no time to run out and help. At that critical moment, a figure suddenly dashed from the roadside into the street.

Bang!

The black Audi struck the person, sending them flying to the side! At the same time, the two girls were shoved aside by the figure, left trembling in fear at the scene.

Screech—

The Audi's tires slid, but after hitting the person, it didn't stop; instead, it accelerated and sped away!
