Chapter 138: Take Me With You
Inside the private room, the seven or eight men in black had also been dealt with by Qin Xuan in an instant, now lying on the floor and wailing in pain.
"It's over now."
Qin Xuan patted Dongfang Qingwan on the shoulder and let go of her. To his surprise, she clung tightly to his robe, refusing to let go, her tears streaming down uncontrollably. The events that had unfolded in such a short time had truly terrified her.
Feeling at a loss, Qin Xuan had no choice but to pull her back into his arms to comfort her. As he felt her soft, delicate body, he whispered gently, "It’s really all right now. The police are here, don't worry."
"Mm..."
Dongfang Qingwan sobbed, her fragrant, delicate shoulders trembling rhythmically.
Qin Xuan turned his head to look back into the room and saw Zhou Xiaoyu gritting his teeth, struggling desperately to stand up. Clutching his right thigh with one hand, he stumbled step by step toward the door.
"Boss... let me... get my revenge..." Zhou Xiaoyu said through clenched teeth.
"How are you feeling?" Qin Xuan hurried over to support him, asking with concern.
Qin Xuan realized now that the subordinate he had taken under his wing was not just the son of the Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, but a tough man through and through. In fact, none of the boys in the Business Class 1 were cowards. Unlike the students in the other private room, who had been scared into wetting themselves at the mere sight of a handgun.
"I need... to get my revenge!" Zhou Xiaoyu insisted stubbornly, his eyes fixed on Li Tianyuan, who was screaming on the floor, as he walked forward step by step.
"A real man!" Qin Xuan couldn't help but be moved. He helped Zhou Xiaoyu to where Li Tianyuan lay.
"Ahhh... what... what are you trying to do..." Li Tianyuan shrieked.
"Take this, but be careful, it's heavy."
Qin Xuan held Zhou Xiaoyu with one hand and handed him the Taiqing Sword with the other. Dongfang Qingwan, still clutching the corner of Qin Xuan’s robe, wiped away her tears and leaned against him, watching the scene unfold.
"I'm getting my revenge!" Zhou Xiaoyu roared as he took the Taiqing Sword, intending to plunge the blade into Li Tianyuan’s other thigh. Li Tianyuan had shot him in the leg—something he had never endured in his life.
However, as soon as he took the sword, he felt a sudden weight that nearly made him collapse, and his heart filled with shock. How could his boss's sword be this heavy?
"Get... up!"
Zhou Xiaoyu gritted his teeth, the muscles in his arm bulging and veins protruding as he managed to lift the Taiqing Sword with great effort. Qin Xuan’s expression changed slightly when he saw this. The Taiqing Sword weighed twenty-two kilograms, and with the scabbard and sword case, the total weight was forty-six kilograms—hardly lighter than a slim woman. Last time at the Jinling TV station, when he handed it to a middle-aged security guard, the man had to hold it with both hands. He hadn't expected that Zhou Xiaoyu, despite his shorter stature, could lift the weight of half a woman with one hand; it was truly impressive. On second thought, Zhou Xiaoyu was only short in height; his physique was excellent, as he was a skilled basketball player. Such arm strength was actually normal for him.
"Damn it!"
Zhou Xiaoyu cursed. His right hand couldn't support the weight of the sword, so he hurriedly used his left hand to help. Just as he was about to thrust the blade downward, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed from the corner.
"Stop! What are you doing!"
A group of police officers rushed over, their expressions changing drastically. The middle-aged officer leading the group shouted loudly.
"I'm getting my revenge!"
Zhou Xiaoyu was determined to have his vengeance; he held the sword with both hands and thrust it downward.
"Waaaaah—"
Li Tianyuan let out another piercing scream. Both of his thighs had been pierced through by the Taiqing Sword; in terms of injury, he was four or five times worse off than Zhou Xiaoyu.
"Stop!"
The middle-aged officer exclaimed again. The group of officers finally reached the doorway and surrounded everyone. Qin Xuan steadied Zhou Xiaoyu, flicked his wrist to retract the sword into its scabbard, and shouldered the sword case once more.
"It's you again?" The middle-aged officer frowned slightly as he looked at Qin Xuan.
"You recognize me?" Qin Xuan glanced at him, finding him familiar but unable to recall where they had met.
"You were there when Lei Jinde's son was arrested, weren't you?" the middle-aged officer asked with a grim face. "What’s going on here? Who fired the gun?"
"Obviously this Li Tianyuan and those gangsters," Qin Xuan replied. Seeing that Zhou Xiaoyu was losing consciousness, he hurriedly added, "Quick, send the injured to the hospital."
The middle-aged officer had clearly noticed the gunshot wound on Zhou Xiaoyu’s leg. His expression turned solemn as he waved his hand, ordering his men to take him and the more severely injured Li Tianyuan away.
"He is a student, and the son of the soon-to-be Municipal Party Secretary..." Qin Xuan transmitted his voice directly to the middle-aged officer.
The officer’s expression shifted, and he quickly gave instructions to the two policemen assisting Zhou Xiaoyu. He then turned back to look at Qin Xuan with a mix of shock and uncertainty. It was clear that only he had heard those words. Could this technique be the "voice transmission" from martial arts novels?
The middle-aged officer, baffled, continued to coordinate his team. As the parties involved, Qin Xuan and the others, including the students from Business Class 1, would naturally be taken to the police station for questioning. Of course, the injured were given priority for transport to the hospital. Given the gravity of the situation, the students' safety was the top priority. Seeing that there were no fatalities, the officer finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Take them all in."
With a wave of his hand, the officer led Qin Xuan, Dongfang Qingwan, and the others toward the exit.
"Everyone, don't worry. We are only going to the station to understand the situation. As for these gangsters, we certainly won't go easy on them," the officer explained as they walked. "I ask for your full cooperation. It won't take long."
The police were very polite to the students, but their attitude toward the men in black was entirely different. Even though they had been beaten to the point of being unable to move, none of them had life-threatening injuries, which meant they lost their chance to go to the hospital and were instead shoved into police vans.
Qin Xuan walked alongside Dongfang Qingwan, flanked by two officers as they exited the restaurant. Just then, a girl from the crowd ran over and quickly reached Qin Xuan's side. Qin Xuan looked up and realized it was the tall, pretty girl he had accidentally saved earlier. What was her name? He thought for a moment before recalling it was Shen Yina.
"You're Qin Xuan, right? Thank you for saving me," Shen Yina said with a generous smile.
Dongfang Qingwan looked at her with some curiosity, wondering who she was.
"You're welcome," Qin Xuan replied, seeming uninterested in further conversation.
"Please step aside, miss. They must go to the police station first," the middle-aged officer, who was walking not far ahead of Qin Xuan, stepped over and said apologetically to Shen Yina.
Seeing the officer approach, Shen Yina immediately said, "Take me with you, too. I’m a witness as well..."
The middle-aged officer frowned, assuming the girl was just looking for trouble.
