In the country of Huaxia, organizing a protest march required formal application to the relevant authorities. To have submitted one so swiftly was clearly not something just anyone could accomplish; Qin Xuan reasoned that only Zhou Xiaoyu would attempt such a thing.

“All right, girl. Let’s go to school,” Qin Xuan said, finishing his rice porridge and slinging the sandalwood sword case over his shoulder as he stepped out.

“Wait, little Qin Xuan! Which class did you say I’m in?” Liu Qianqian hurried after him.

“The second class of Chinese Language, School of Literature,” Qin Xuan replied inwardly, thinking what a dreadful memory she had—no wonder she always got lost.

Today, the Jinling University campus was livelier than ever. It was the first day of military training for freshmen, and the coverage by Jinling TV, Jinling Evening News, and Xici Hutong regarding Qin Xuan had drawn swarms of journalists eager for more details.

As Qin Xuan and Liu Qianqian approached the school gate, they were startled by the scene before them. Zhou Xiaoyu was there, flanked by over a dozen classmates from the first class of Business Administration. Spotting the pair, he immediately hurried over.

“Boss! You’re finally here!” Zhou Xiaoyu called, running up.

“Hey, kid, are you planning a gang fight?” Qin Xuan glanced behind him. Good heavens, those boys looked fierce enough to frighten the nearby reporters into keeping their distance.

“Hehe, Boss, I just wanted to celebrate for you,” Zhou Xiaoyu gave a mischievous grin. “Once those three pieces of evidence hit the forum, a legion of angry youths couldn’t sit still. The Japanese students were wielding knives, and yet our Huaxia students were the ones facing expulsion?”

“That was always bound to happen,” Qin Xuan smiled. Huaxia’s youth, whatever else was said, were united when it came to confronting the Japanese.

“Hehe. Seeing the situation so favorable, I quickly posted a call for a protest march. Didn’t expect hundreds to sign up. Early this morning, I was about to apply for the permit, when the department issued a revised disciplinary decision,” Zhou Xiaoyu explained, then leaned close to Qin Xuan’s ear with a conspiratorial whisper. “Boss, someone else is helping you this time. Guess who?”

Qin Xuan was puzzled. “Su Muqing?”

“Teacher Su? No, no, I mean a student from the university. Bet you can’t guess—hehe!” Zhou Xiaoyu snickered.

“I haven’t a clue,” Qin Xuan shook his head.

“It’s Chen Yuchen, the big guy from the basketball team—the one who argued with us at the Sichuan restaurant last time. Unexpectedly, he contacted me himself to join the protest…”

“Him?” Qin Xuan was indeed surprised.

“Yes. After all, Boss, you and the basketball team took down those Japanese students together—maybe you bonded,” Zhou Xiaoyu joked.

“Bonded, my foot. Let’s go, time to prepare for military training,” Qin Xuan smacked him lightly on the head.

The crowd moved toward the campus, some reporters trying to approach, but Zhou Xiaoyu waved them off. “My boss doesn’t do interviews!”

A young female reporter pouted, muttering, “What’s so great? It’s just beating up a few Japanese guys.”

An older man beside her quickly cautioned, “Don’t talk nonsense. Do you know who that short fellow is?”

The girl shook her head. “I’ve never seen him, how would I know?”

“That’s the son of the Deputy Secretary of the Jinling Municipal Committee!”

On hearing this, the young reporter fell silent at once.

“Look!” someone shouted.

“Wow!” another exclaimed.

“It’s a Lexus LS600!”

As the crowd was about to enter the campus, a wave of excitement rippled through them. Judging by their reactions, some luxury car had arrived, and Zhou Xiaoyu was taken aback.

He looked back, his face clouding with anger.

Qin Xuan hadn’t paid much attention at first, but seeing Zhou Xiaoyu’s expression, he turned as well, narrowing his eyes.

Li Shihao.

Seated in the driver’s seat of the luxurious Lexus was Li Shihao, dressed in a sharp black suit and stylish sunglasses, exuding confidence and charisma.

“That’s Li Shihao!”

“So this is Li Shihao? He really is arrogant.”

“No wonder he dares collude with the school leadership…”

Some girls started to scream.

Zhou Xiaoyu had mentioned that the most popular figure on the campus forum wasn’t Su Muqing. Even Su Muqing ranked only second. The indisputable number one was Li Shihao.

Sunny, handsome, from a wealthy family, elegant and personable—every conceivable male virtue could be used to describe him. That was why Su Muqing favored him.

But after the recent “Japanese students incident,” Li Shihao’s reputation took a sharp dive. His fame had grown, but much of it was now infamy.

Still, this didn’t stop many girls from admiring him.

As the Lexus drove into the campus, screams followed in its wake. Li Shihao reveled in it—so what if things had gone awry this time?

He would remain arrogant, unfazed. These ants were beneath him; their opinions meant nothing.

But soon, he noticed a group blocking his way.

“It’s you,” Li Shihao saw Qin Xuan and gave a curious smile. He didn’t slow down—instead, he pressed the accelerator.

The crowd was eager, anticipating sparks when Qin Xuan and Li Shihao met.

But no one expected Li Shihao to suddenly accelerate toward them. Mouths fell open in shock.

“He’s gone mad!” Zhou Xiaoyu cursed, hastily moving aside. The boys behind him scattered as well.

Yet two figures remained in the middle of the road, unmoving, calmly watching the speeding car approach.

It was Qin Xuan and Liu Qianqian.

Qin Xuan was fearless—he intended to settle scores with Li Shihao. As for Liu Qianqian, hiding behind Qin Xuan made her feel perfectly safe; she had no intention of running.

“Boss! Qianqian!” Zhou Xiaoyu shouted.

“Damn, Brother Qin’s a real man!” Xiao Gang flexed his muscles in awe. After seeing Qin Xuan single-handedly drive off so many thugs the previous night, he had become Qin Xuan’s blind admirer.

“This is tragic. I lost face by running, but look—Li Shihao wouldn’t dare actually hit them,” Gao Tie muttered regretfully. Like Xiao Gang, he wasn’t worried about Qin Xuan at all, having seen him take a bullet last night and look perfectly fine today.

“Still not moving? Looking for death,” Li Shihao sneered, seeing Qin Xuan standing firm in the middle of the road.

He just wanted to force the crowd aside—to regain a bit of his lost dignity. No matter how impressive Qin Xuan was, he still had to make way for his Lexus.

But Qin Xuan and the beautiful girl didn’t budge.

“If you’re courting death, I’ll oblige,” Li Shihao floored the accelerator.

The Lexus charged at Qin Xuan like a maddened bull, reaching top speed in moments.

“This is bad!”

“Qin Xuan’s doomed!”

“Xiaoli, cover your eyes, don’t look!”
