Chapter 8: Lu Siye: Darling, Don't Touch Other Men!

Chu Wanning finished speaking in one breath. Since she had decided to be with him, she felt it was better to be clear about things early on and state her stance.

Lu Siyan completely agreed. Now that she was his woman, trying to run away? That would be more than just a little bit difficult! However, he decided to take it slow; he didn't want to scare her.

"Hmm, my thoughts are the same as yours, Wanwan. Were you feeling jealous just now?"

Chu Wanning felt her cheeks heat up. Was she really jealous? It seemed she was. Lu Siyan didn't mind that she didn't answer; he understood. His large hand pulled her into his embrace once again, the feel of her slender, soft waist incredibly pleasant.

"Wanwan, thank you for today. Thank you for saving them!" Lu Siyan hurriedly changed the subject, fearing he wouldn't be able to control himself if he stayed in the car any longer. He couldn't believe it, yet he had to admit that this woman had the power to make him lose control in such a short time. He truly liked her. Was this what they called love at first sight?

"We are husband and wife," Chu Wanning said softly. Leaning into his arms and feeling his strong heartbeat, she couldn't help but smile secretly. She was very satisfied with how quickly they had both adapted to their new roles. Perhaps because she was exhausted from the day, Chu Wanning gradually fell asleep in his arms.

When they arrived at the school, Chu Wanning woke up. "Let's go, time to pick up Qingbao!" The girl rubbed her eyes and took Lu Siyan's hand, leading him out of the car.

"No, let's go home and eat! I'm actually a bit hungry now."

The school gate was packed with parents picking up their children, but the sight of the man in a tailored suit and the woman in a qipao was striking. As soon as they stepped out of the car, Chu Wanning felt the gaze of the crowd.

This kindergarten was an elite school under the Lu Group; the children who attended were from wealthy and powerful families. Therefore, everyone recognized Lu Siyan. Yet, they had never seen him come to pick anyone up, nor did many people know that Lu Siqing was a member of the top-tier Lu family.

Some sharp-eyed people recognized Lu Siyan. Before they could even guess who he was there for, the mystery was solved.

"Are you hungry? Let's go home," Chu Wanning asked, bending down to pat the little boy's head.

"I wasn't hungry anymore the moment I saw you, sister-in-law. You are so beautiful and feast for the eyes that I'm already full!"

Lu Siyan, standing to the side, thought: *It seems he isn't studying enough if he has time to watch TV and learn these messy lines to flirt with my wife. I'll have to add more coursework for him when we get back.*

Lu Siqing never imagined that one sentence would keep him busy for a long time to come.

Once the car started, Lu Siyan couldn't wait to take out the marriage certificate. The intention to show it off was obvious.

Lu Siqing, however, was not happy. "Big Devil, I found this wife for you. I'm your own brother, and you're still jealous?" Lu Siqing turned around, hands on his hips, looking displeased.

"My wife!"
"My sister-in-law!"

...Who could tell her why these two were completely different in front of others compared to when they were alone? What happened to Lu Siyan's cold detachment? He was being so childish right now! And what about Lu Siqing's arrogance? Well, that was actually quite fitting for a child.

In the end, Chu Wanning smoothed things over between the big one and the little one, and they returned to the manor in a harmonious atmosphere. The butler was already waiting, accompanied by a woman who was quite attractive.

"Butler uncle, this is my sister-in-law! We got the certificate!" Lu Siqing jumped out of the car and began to show off.

Lu Feng was stunned, then looked at Lu Siyan. Seeing Lu Siyan nod, he bowed, "Greetings, Madam!"

The woman standing to the side, however, had a hideous expression. Her mother was a maid at the manor, and she had fallen for Mr. Lu the first time she saw him. She knew from her mother that he never got close to women, so she believed she had a chance. When her mother told her yesterday that Mr. Lu had brought a woman home, she panicked. Later, after inquiring around and learning that she was just someone he had "picked up," she felt relieved. She had gone to great lengths to take her mother's place to greet Mr. Lu, only to find out he already had a wife. She was insanely jealous and hated this woman who had come out of nowhere.

Chu Wanning was naturally sensitive and felt the woman's hostility. She glanced at Lu Siyan—this man was truly a magnet for trouble! Wasn't there a rule that manor maids had to be over forty? She looked away, took Lu Siqing’s small hand, and followed the butler to the living room.

Lu Siyan frowned, glanced at the woman standing to the side with a cold, ruthless gaze, and said, "Whoever brought you here, fire them both. Lu Bei, handle this."

After saying this, he strode to catch up with the two in front. The woman was left dumbfounded; she hadn't even done anything yet! Lu Bei, who was not a simple-minded man, naturally understood her intentions and guessed why she was there. He had seen too many of these over the years. But he was loyal to the Madam, and since he only recognized her, he didn't give the woman a chance to speak, dragging her away immediately. He handled it quite publicly, pursuing legal action for the maid's breach of contract by bringing an unauthorized person into the manor, serving as a warning to others.

Of course, Chu Wanning only learned about these details after dinner when the butler apologized to her, explaining that his moment of soft-heartedness and professional negligence had allowed the mother and daughter to harbor inappropriate thoughts and cause trouble for the Madam.

After hearing this, Chu Wanning was quite pleased with how Lu Siyan handled the situation. This man, she thought, was actually quite useful.
