Do not underestimate Ruth! Though Ruth is a pirate, she is also a practitioner of internal energy. According to Ruth, her grandfather’s grandfather was Chinese, so she possesses Chinese blood. Even if that heritage is now diluted, some internal energy cultivation methods have still been preserved through generations. Ruth’s strength isn’t particularly formidable—she is only at the second level of internal energy, and although she has reached the upper second level, it seems difficult for her to break through to the third. Ruth’s prowess is rooted in her internal energy, but her other skills—and her professional ability as a pirate to assess opponents—make her sense Chou’s strength.

As for Lazy Cat, there’s no need to elaborate. Lazy Cat himself possesses fourth-level internal energy. In the presence of Chou, who is also at the fourth level, there is naturally a sense of resonance. He Tian introduced the three to each other in a restaurant near the airport. He Tian had already received word that the other two would arrive together in the evening. So, he brought Lazy Cat, Ruth, and Chou to the restaurant, where they ate and chatted.

“You are all my friends—friends bound by life and death. Our goals are the same, so you are now friends with each other. Don’t be strangers—the more distant you are, the more uncomfortable I’ll feel,” He Tian said with a smile.

“A friend of Tian’s is my friend! My name is Chou—from now on, you are my friends!” Chou was straightforward, looking at Lazy Cat and Ruth earnestly.

“I, Lazy Cat, shouldn’t have so many friends, but what can I do? I met Little Prince Tian. Since my life is about to change, why not change it thoroughly? Chou—a truly unusual name! From now on, you’re my brother, Lazy Cat!” Lazy Cat spoke with a smile, his demeanor free from any hint of indolence.

“I used to be a pirate—and pirates are never solitary; teamwork is essential. Unfortunately, my old team betrayed me, but that doesn’t stop me from longing for friends,” Ruth said with a laugh. “I trust He Tian the King of Soldiers—so I trust this silly cat and you, Chou.”

“Hahaha!” He Tian raised his glass. “Come, for our meeting, and for our friendship—cheers!”

He Tian understood his friends’ abilities well. He eagerly anticipated what might happen when this group truly joined forces. Without a doubt, this gave him greater peace of mind regarding Wang Xinmeng and Wang Xinrou’s safety and allowed him the freedom to deal with other matters.

Ruth seemed increasingly interested in Lazy Cat, and Lazy Cat, trying to escape Ruth’s entanglement, kept talking to Chou. The two had many martial topics to discuss, and Chou seemed delighted to see Lazy Cat intimidated by Ruth. In this seemingly special situation, the three gradually grew familiar and forged their friendship.

Night had fallen. He Tian once again came to the airport’s outskirts. There were six people—except for Kamikaze, who was trapped in the depths of Myanmar’s jungles, two more were to arrive. Both were beautiful women—undeniably so. Yet, their beauty was not merely in their features, but in their figures and an ineffable aura.

One appeared infinitely alluring, like a socialite of nightlife—able to quickly mingle with anyone, possessing irresistible charm. The other was like a fairy—fresh and ethereal, transcending the mundane.

He Tian hadn’t expected the two to arrive together, nor had he anticipated that they would glare at each other, seemingly at odds. The commotion caused by their appearance in the airport stirred people, but seemed to have no effect on them at all.

“Allure!”
“Qing Wu!”

He Tian looked at the two women glaring at each other and felt a headache coming on. He could tell that they couldn’t possibly know each other, so it was likely some misunderstanding had arisen. In their confrontation, he sensed a hint of tension.

Allure was a true character. Her hobby was mingling with powerful figures and persuading them to willingly hand over their wealth. He Tian had met her after she was hunted down following a failed scheme. She claimed she’d never pursue such “great” endeavors again, but as far as He Tian knew, she had found plenty more targets in recent years.

The other, Qing Wu, was like a fairy, exuding an otherworldly aura. She had little in the way of prominent experiences, a true maiden with scant exposure to society, from the distant Kunlun Mountains—like a martial arts novel heroine, raised by a master in the deep mountains. He Tian met her during an adventure; at that time, Qing Wu’s master had passed away, yet she still hadn’t left the mountains. He Tian arranged everything for her. Now, it was clear Qing Wu was a genius; she had adapted well and fully integrated into society, no longer isolated from the world.

Both women were practitioners of internal energy. Allure’s strength was slightly below He Tian’s, at the lower third level. But Qing Wu made He Tian sweat—she was about to reach the fourth level, making He Tian realize his own talent wasn’t the best. The title of “super genius” should be qualified—perhaps “one of” the super geniuses.

“Oh, my darling Tian! I finally get to see you!” Allure’s eyes sparkled as she exaggeratedly threw herself into He Tian’s arms. Though clearly Chinese, she greeted He Tian with a Western-style gesture—a kiss. He Tian was helpless; he knew Allure too well. She was taking advantage of him, but her enthusiasm left him with no words—he could only accept it.

“Hello, He Tian,” Qing Wu stood quietly, her gaze calm, her voice gentle.

“Qing Wu!” This time, He Tian took the initiative, embracing Qing Wu and smiling as he said, “I told you, you should leave the mountains and see the outside world. So? Isn’t it exciting out here?”

“It is exciting, but I don’t much like it,” Qing Wu replied softly, shaking her head.

He Tian scratched his head, feeling helpless about Qing Wu’s preference for the deep mountains. Years in the outside world had not entirely changed her views.

“You’ll grow to like it, because from now on, I’ll be with you,” He Tian smiled, holding Qing Wu’s hand. Her purity and transcendence were different from Ouyang Bingbing’s.

Ouyang Bingbing was gentle and inspired a protective instinct at first glance. Qing Wu, on the other hand, inspired that instinct because of her innate purity and transcendence. One could not bear to see such a pure and ethereal woman entangled by mundane matters.

“Mm!” Qing Wu’s eyes shone as she nodded vigorously. No one knew how much trust and attachment Qing Wu felt for He Tian, the one who brought her out of the mountains. She always dreamed of being with He Tian—she waited for years, and now, at last, her wish had come true.

“Darling, do you know her?” Allure wound herself around He Tian’s arm like a snake, her face wary, her gaze openly hostile toward Qing Wu.

“Allure, it’s best to abandon your usual tricks with me,” He Tian smiled. “You know they don’t work on me.”

“I don’t believe it—aren’t you a man? I told you, sooner or later I’ll capture you…” Allure boldly lifted He Tian’s chin, staring straight into his eyes, pressing herself against him.

He Tian’s heart trembled. Allure was undoubtedly a temptress—a temptress who devours without leaving bones. Now, as He Long’s identity altered He Tian’s mindset, his resistance to Allure’s seductive ways had diminished. But He Tian was fiercely competitive—how could he allow himself to lose to Allure?

“Give up on that idea!” He Tian snapped.

“Darling, why are you still so heartless? Am I not sexy enough? Don’t you want to sample my charms? Do you know what that tastes like? I guarantee you’ll be enchanted!” Allure pressed herself even closer.

“Get off!” Qing Wu grabbed Allure and, with a swift motion, flung her aside. Allure executed a graceful flip in midair and landed steadily, then glared menacingly at Qing Wu.

“You brat, what are you up to? Don’t you see I’m seducing a man? What’s the matter—can’t stand it? If you can’t, then try it yourself! Hahaha, can you? Can you?” Allure and purity, it seems, are bound to be adversaries—and now that opposition was embodied in Allure and Qing Wu.

“Temptress!” Qing Wu’s face darkened. To expect Qing Wu to seduce a man like Allure was something she could never do.

“Stop…” He Tian had to intervene. If he let these two continue, it would completely defeat his purpose.

“Darling, look, she attacked me!”

“He Tian, how can you associate with such a temptress?”

Both Allure and Qing Wu instantly turned their attention to He Tian.

“Allure, I don’t care what you do to me, but if you go after Qing Wu again, pack up and leave—our friendship ends here.” He Tian then turned to Qing Wu. “Qing Wu, if you act out against your own people again, go back to the mountains. Let’s not meet again.”

He Tian had to deploy his trump card—and the fact that both Allure and Qing Wu fell silent proved its power. Yet He Tian was not relieved, for he thought of another possibility…

If Allure and Qing Wu appeared before Wang Xinrou, what would her reaction be? Headache, indeed!
