Chapter 137: The Capture

“Hi, Basang!” Sangkun greeted him with a smile as he stepped aboard the small yacht.
“My dear Sangkun, you’re about to receive a promotion. I simply had to congratulate you!” Basang was in charge of the yacht and had come to pick Sangkun up. Even someone of Sangkun’s status could not go to White Shark Island without permission.
“Really? My dear Basang, I’m sure you know what I’ll be in charge of afterward,” Sangkun said, looking at him in surprise.
“I haven’t the slightest idea! You know, it’s already impressive that I know this much. You can’t ask too much of me!” Basang glanced at the four Chinese men following behind Sangkun and frowned slightly. “Sangkun, are these men of yours all Chinese? Their faces are quite unfamiliar.”
“My dear Basang, they’re guards I’ve selected recently. Of course, they’ve all pulled off major jobs in the past! I’m taking this opportunity to let them broaden their horizons. You know how it is—if I’m going to rise any higher, I’ll need a few capable subordinates. I can’t do without them!”
“That makes sense… But make sure they behave themselves,” Basang said bluntly.
“Of course. They’re very well-behaved,” Sangkun replied with a smile.
The yacht was tiny. Even if they behaved themselves, they were still under He Tian’s watchful eye. Sangkun would never dare try anything. He was already cursing Basang in his heart for not having a larger yacht. Damn it…
“Oh, Sangkun—your wrist?” Basang exclaimed.
“It’s nothing, Basang. No need to make such a fuss. You know how it is in our line of work. Conflict is unavoidable,” Sangkun said with a smile.
“I can only wish you well… Hold on tight. We’re setting off!” After expressing his concern, Basang quickly started the yacht.
Basang was piloting it himself, since he was the only person aboard apart from Sangkun and his companions.
Slowly, the brilliantly lit city of Jakarta receded into the distance until it vanished from sight. All around them stretched an endless expanse of sea.
Lights occasionally appeared far away.
Each one marked an island, large or small.
The yacht was small, but it moved at astonishing speed.
From the sound alone, He Tian could tell that it had been specially modified.
Sangkun sat quietly.
He Tian was seated not far away.
He Tian smiled at Sangkun.
This Sangkun was cooperative—extremely cooperative.
After disposing of the bodies back there, Sangkun had given He Tian no reason for dissatisfaction, all the way through bringing them aboard the yacht.
As for Sangkun secretly sending out a message?
With Divine Wind present, Sangkun did not even need to consider it. Divine Wind would completely prevent anything of the sort from happening.
He Tian’s luck had truly been excellent.
At first, he had merely intended to find Sangkun and see whether Sangkun could provide a discreet route onto White Shark Island.
Unexpectedly, he had overheard their meeting and learned of Sangkun’s objective.
Sangkun happened to be returning to headquarters.
So He Tian had to admit that his luck was exceptionally good.
He Tian toyed with a throwing knife in his hand.
The blade danced gracefully between his fingers, flashing beautifully.
Sangkun, however, could only smile bitterly inwardly. He knew that if he made even the slightest wrong move, the knife in He Tian’s hand might pierce straight through his throat.
Sangkun did not dare take the risk. Now that they were aboard, there was no reason to risk anything.
He made idle conversation with Basang.
The yacht had a navigation system, so Basang did not need to devote all his attention to steering. During the journey, he also needed someone to talk to in order to pass the time.
They sailed through the entire night.
Every two hours or so, some device aboard the yacht would sound.
Basang would then patiently explain the situation or simply say that everything was normal.
He Tian gained a new understanding of just how cautious the White Shark organization was.
Still, this was one of their own yachts, and they were in the middle of an assignment.

After receiving confirmation that everything was normal, they continued forward.
The sky had begun to brighten faintly. The sun painted half the heavens red, though it had not yet fully risen.
They had arrived at White Shark Island.
He Tian abandoned his appreciation of the beautiful dawn over the sea and fixed his gaze on the island.
It was a small island.
It truly deserved to be called nothing more than a small island.
Yet the closer they drew, the more clearly they sensed how heavily guarded it was.
Once they actually set foot on the island, armed men were visible everywhere, along with scattered defensive fortifications.
“My friend Sangkun, you’ve arrived! You know the rules. Someone will take you from here. I need to catch up on some sleep. After sailing all night, I’m exhausted!” Basang said with a smile.
“My dear Basang, thank you. If I get the chance, I’ll definitely buy you a drink!” Sangkun replied with a smile.
“Good luck!”
Basang turned the yacht around and left. Judging by the look of things, he was not staying on White Shark Island to rest.
“When will you set me free?” Sangkun asked He Tian quietly while waving goodbye to Basang.
“You only have one choice right now: cooperate with us. Isn’t that so?” He Tian replied with a faint smile.
“There’ll be an inspection ahead. We’re not allowed to carry any weapons on us,” Sangkun said with a slight frown.
“You should understand that if I want to kill you, whether I have a weapon or not makes very little difference,” He Tian said calmly, his tone relaxed.
Sangkun led the way.
He Tian and the other three followed close behind.
Sure enough, they had walked less than a hundred meters when they were stopped.
Sangkun presented some kind of identification and began explaining.
Even so, the armed men searched Sangkun and He Tian’s group from head to toe.
They then confiscated every firearm, tool, and other item the five men were carrying.
Only after that were they allowed to pass.
“This is standard procedure. There are no business dealings on this island. This is the Big Boss’s residence,” Sangkun answered softly when He Tian questioned him.
“Very good.” He Tian nodded.
He Tian had not come to interfere with their business. He merely wanted to obtain what belonged to him.
Sangkun no longer had any choice.
Even if he risked his life to call for help, and was lucky enough not to be killed by He Tian and the others, the Big Boss would probably never forgive him.
White Shark was reclining lazily on a beach chair, enjoying the sunlight.
He loved sunbathing.
Especially on his own island.
A bodyguard approached White Shark and whispered something to him.
“Have him wait for now. Wake Black Shark and Tiger Shark. We’ll meet this Sangkun together. Not bad—he knows enough to seek out clients on his own initiative. That’s exactly the kind of behavior we should encourage. We need a larger share of the market!” White Shark chuckled.
The bodyguard nodded and turned away.
He Tian, Sangkun, and the other three were now inside a luxurious villa.
The villa’s main hall was enormous, nearly two hundred square meters.
The hall opened into a vast four-story atrium, with the villa’s various facilities arranged around it.
It gave one the strange impression of standing at the bottom of a well.
Yet everything here, from the furnishings to the décor, was lavish.

“If you took out those treasures of yours, would they outshine everything here?” He Tian asked Divine Wind quietly.
“Boss, without a doubt! Just one of them would be enough to surpass everything here,” Divine Wind said proudly.
“I’m looking forward to it even more now. How about we make a deal? What if you took out two more?”
“Not a chance!” Divine Wind refused at once.
“All right. Everyone, get ready… Wait for my command. Sangkun, you should know how to cooperate. I don’t need to teach you, do I?” He Tian said with a smile.
Sangkun nodded.
No matter what happened, he seemed already able to see the miserable fate awaiting him.
“Boss!”
Black Shark and Tiger Shark encountered White Shark outside the villa.
“Second, Third, come on. Let’s go see this Sangkun,” White Shark said cheerfully.
White Shark was the master of the entire island and the leader of the organization bearing his name.
Black Shark was in charge of the assassination business—the enterprise that had established the White Shark organization in the first place.
Tiger Shark, meanwhile, handled the drug trade, which was the organization’s primary source of funding.
The three men controlled the entire organization.
Throughout Indonesia and the surrounding regions, they were genuine rulers of the underworld.
Well, perhaps that was merely a title they had bestowed upon themselves. Other forces could still challenge them.
But they were powerful. That much was certain.
The three sharks entered the villa.
Figures moved all around them. They were bodyguards.
Sangkun rose to his feet.
He Tian and the other three rose as well.
“You’re Sangkun, are you? Sit, sit! Hahaha!” White Shark laughed loudly as he approached Sangkun with Black Shark and Tiger Shark.
He Tian assessed the situation around him, paying particular attention to the six men behind the three sharks.
He could sense that they were practitioners of internal force.
Those six men were now staring at He Tian and the others in astonishment.
“Move!” He Tian said softly.
Then he shot toward White Shark like a bolt of lightning.
Ugly and Lazy Cat rushed toward Black Shark and Tiger Shark respectively.
Divine Wind stayed beside Sangkun, keeping such close watch on him that Sangkun did not dare make the slightest move.
White Shark, Black Shark, and Tiger Shark had never imagined that such a sudden change could occur.
They had weathered countless storms, but never once had they allowed an enemy to enter their own island.
This time, however, was clearly an exception.
The six men behind them changed expression and charged forward as well.
But by then, they had already lost the initiative.
White Shark was no weakling.
Yet against He Tian, his abilities were nowhere near enough.
With a simple grappling move, He Tian seized White Shark by the throat.
Ugly and Lazy Cat were even more direct. They had already pinned Black Shark and Tiger Shark beneath their feet.
“Don’t move! Anyone who takes even one step, and I’ll kill them!” He Tian roared.
“Don’t move…” White Shark could feel the pressure against his throat. He had no doubt that the man before him could crush it in an instant. So no one could move.
White Shark did not want to die.
Black Shark and Tiger Shark also shouted for their men to stay still.
Sangkun wore a bitter smile as he watched the scene, his entire body turning cold.
He knew very well that even if He Tian’s group stopped targeting him now, he probably would not meet a favorable end.
