"Thank you, sir."

Qin Feng was deeply moved. He stayed with Director Spielberg for a long time, chatting about everything from cinema to life. Before he knew it, dusk had fallen. As he was about to leave, he suddenly remembered something and turned back.

"Sir, when I have some free time, I’ll write the script for *Jurassic Park 2*. You should be the one to direct it personally!"

Spielberg’s eyes lit up at the news. "A sequel? That’s wonderful! Qin Feng, I’m already looking forward to it!"

With the success of the first film as a guarantee, there was no doubt about the quality of Qin Feng’s script for a sequel. Furthermore, since all the technical hurdles had already been cleared, producing the second installment would be much easier. Thinking of this, even Spielberg felt a surge of excitement.

...

Meanwhile, Qin Feng’s own film was in the midst of intensive preparations. With only tens of thousands of dollars left, he had to be frugal. He borrowed some filming equipment from Universal Pictures under the guise of an insider. Even Scarlett had joined the project. Qin Feng cast her in a role—a woman who loves the protagonist—though it was a small part, not quite a leading role.

In the suburbs of Los Angeles, they rented a house to serve as the primary filming location. Qin Feng wore many hats: director, screenwriter, gaffer, cinematographer, prop master... He did everything and knew how to do it all. He filmed during the day and returned home at night to edit the footage. His five years as a director’s assistant and his experience grinding on film sets had truly forged him.

David Smith used his connections to assemble six talented, versatile actors. The entire story relied on the strength of their performances. The final cast list was as follows:

[John (played by David Smith): The protagonist, a historian who suddenly announces his resignation after ten years on the job, sparking a debate among a group of people.]
[Sandy (played by Scarlett): A historian, John’s lover, and the only person who believes John’s story from beginning to end.]
[Harry: A male biologist who explicitly states he does not believe John is a caveman.]
[Edith: A female scholar of religion and a devout Christian.]
[Dan: A male anthropologist who is open to the story John tells.]
[Art: A male archaeologist who believes John has gone insane.]
[Linda: A female student and lover of Art.]
[Will: A male psychologist, called in by Art to help because he suspects John is having a mental breakdown.]

Because the team was small, Qin Feng didn't hold a formal opening ceremony. Everyone simply sat together and enjoyed a hot pot meal. After spending a few days together running lines, the team grew incredibly close. Qin Feng was busy running back and forth, feeling completely fulfilled every day. Scarlett paid out of her own pocket every day to order meals and drinks for everyone, mostly Chinese food for lunch. The food for the small group was quite excellent.

Harry said, "What about dumplings? Let’s have dumplings tomorrow!"
Linda kept saying, "Dear Scarlett, after filming this, I don’t think I’ll be able to bear leaving."
"That’s fine!" Scarlett laughed. "If you want Chinese food in the future, you can always come to me."

One day, after filming wrapped, everyone drove away from the set. Qin Feng and Scarlett were the last to leave. Qin Feng double-checked the props on site, locked the main gate, and drove Scarlett back to her apartment.

"Scarlett, you’ve worked hard these days."
"Qin Feng, you’re the one who’s worked hard. Look at you, you’ve lost weight and gotten so tanned." Scarlett looked at him with concern.

Qin Feng smiled faintly. "Relatively speaking, this kind of film is the simplest; future projects will likely be much more complex. So, this is nothing."

Scarlett shook her head. "When you make films in the future, you’ll need a proper crew. Relying on yourself for everything is why you’re so exhausted."

The car pulled up slowly in front of her apartment building.

"Qin Feng..." Scarlett bit her lip, seemingly making a decision. "I want to have a drink today. Will you join me?"
"Of course." Qin Feng parked the car.

Over the past month, they had visited each other's homes several times, but neither had ever stayed the night. That final barrier between them had yet to be broken.

*Click!* The living room light went on.

Scarlett kept her place very clean; everything was in perfect order, and posters of films she had starred in hung on the walls. They entered, and Qin Feng changed into slippers.

"Sit for a moment, I’ll go pour the drinks," Scarlett said, looking back at him with a seductive charm.
"Sure."

She turned and headed into the bedroom. Qin Feng sat on the sofa. There were several fashion magazines on the coffee table, and he idly picked one up, filled with photos of beautiful women. Not bad, a feast for the eyes! He was reading it with great interest.

*Creak—*

The bedroom door opened softly.

Scarlett emerged, wearing a nightgown with a low-cut neckline and a high slit, paired with black silk stockings. She walked out with a look of pure allure. Qin Feng didn't just look; he nearly had a nosebleed.

*Thud!* The magazine in his hands dropped to the floor, and he jumped up from the sofa.

Scarlett gave a playful smile. "Why are you so nervous?"
Qin Feng’s heart raced, and he cleared his throat. "Uh, I... *cough, cough*... you this..."

Scarlett turned to the wine cabinet to pour two long-stemmed glasses. "Me what?"
She walked toward him, step by step, holding the glasses. Her figure was truly breathtaking, and Qin Feng could smell her intoxicating fragrance. He took the red wine from her and downed it in one gulp.

"Qin Feng... I have a question I want to ask you." Scarlett looked at him wistfully.
"Ask away."
"Are you gay?"

"What?!" Qin Feng was startled, then immediately replied, "What kind of international joke is that? Think about it—I’m a man’s man, a guy who’s going to make *Iron Man*! How could I possibly be gay? I ask you!"

Seeing the agitated Qin Feng, Scarlett laughed, took a sip of wine, her breath sweet as orchids, and asked again: "Then... am I sexy?"
"…Sexy."

Scarlett set down her glass and asked affectionately: "Do you like me?"

Qin Feng’s heart skipped a beat as he looked into her eyes. This was the second time she had asked him that. He remembered the first time, back on the Walk of Fame. That night, they had held hands for the first time and shared their hearts for the first time. How could he ever forget?

"Scarlett..." Looking at the beauty before him, Qin Feng pulled her into a tight embrace, burying his face in her hair. "I like you... I like you so much it’s unbearable."

Scarlett wrapped her arms around his neck, unwilling to let go. "Qin Feng, you’re mine."

Qin Feng scooped her up and carried her toward the bedroom.

The night was silent.
Indescribable...

At 9:00 AM the next day, Qin Feng sat up in bed, stark naked, and checked the clock.
"Oh no, I'm going to be late for the shoot!"
