“My dear consort, are you waiting for me to favor you?” The woman leaned close to Fang Xu’s ear, whispering softly. But at this moment, Fang Xu could hardly process what she was saying.

He only felt as if his entire body was about to explode. Why? Because before Fang Xu transmigrated, he was a lifelong virgin, and even after transmigrating, he had maintained that status.

Now, a woman who appeared out of nowhere had pinned him to the bed. Being pinned was one thing, but to be so provocatively challenged? What was this supposed to be?

To Fang Xu, it was truly a situation where the aunt could endure, but the uncle absolutely could not.

He didn’t know where the sudden surge of strength came from, but he managed to flip the woman on top of him and pin her beneath him on the bed.

Their positions were now reversed. By the light of the moon, Fang Xu was stunned by the beauty of the woman beneath him.

He had never seen such an exquisite face, not even among those legendary beauties said to appear once every ten thousand years before he transmigrated.

Compared to them, the woman beneath him utterly eclipsed all rivals. Fang Xu couldn’t even muster a single wicked thought.

“You… you… get off me now…” The woman finally came to her senses, gazing up at Fang Xu with a flustered look.

Her voice softened considerably. Hearing her words, Fang Xu felt as if a gentle hand was teasing his heart.

In the end, Fang Xu could hardly resist, or rather, he was lost in passion.

Without knowing why, he slowly leaned down and gently kissed the woman’s lips. She widened her eyes in disbelief, staring at Fang Xu.

She hadn’t expected Fang Xu to do such a thing, and neither had Fang Xu anticipated his own actions.

But this kiss seemed to unlock the shackles of desire in Fang Xu’s heart. His hands instinctively began to explore the woman beneath him.

“Stop… stop this… I… I must… punish you… no, I can’t!” The woman’s words were cut short, as if she was about to faint.

Of course, Fang Xu was nearly overwhelmed as well. Just when he was about to continue, the woman, drawing strength from nowhere, struck Fang Xu with her palm, sending him flying to the floor.

The sharp pain in his chest cleared his mind instantly. He stared in disbelief at the woman sitting on the bed, looking pitiful and fragile.

He never imagined a woman could send him flying with a single blow. The woman quickly pulled up the sheet to cover herself.

“You! You! I will punish your entire clan!” she declared furiously, hiding under the sheet as she dressed herself, then stood and looked coldly at Fang Xu.

“Punish my clan? Little girl, aren’t you mistaken? You were the one who attacked me first!” Fang Xu, bare-chested, sat on the floor and spoke to the fierce little girl before him.

“Little! Little! Little girl?! You… you…!” The woman standing before Fang Xu was furious, pointing her delicate finger at him but unable to speak further.

It was as if she was so enraged by Fang Xu that she couldn’t utter a word, but Fang Xu felt he had said nothing wrong.

“Little girl, you’d better leave quickly, or you won’t be able to escape later.”

“You dare call me little girl! Where am I little?!” She protested, pushing out her chest. Fang Xu nodded meaningfully.

“Indeed, from a certain perspective, you’re not really a little girl anymore,” Fang Xu muttered, his gaze lingering on her ample chest.

“You! You! You’re dead!” she shouted, storming out of the hall. Fang Xu rose and smiled at her departing figure.

“Tch! She wants to punish my clan? Does she think I’m easily scared?” Fang Xu scoffed, glancing at his own hand.

The softness he’d felt lingered in his memory. He thought himself a bit lecherous, so he coughed lightly.

He wondered why the Emperor hadn’t arrived yet. What time was it? Was the Emperor as tardy as he was?

Just as he had this thought, he heard voices outside announcing the Emperor’s arrival. Fang Xu realized the Emperor must have come.

He sighed, thinking it was wise to have sent the little girl away earlier. If the Emperor saw his consort meeting secretly with an unknown woman, the consequences would be dire.

Fang Xu sat on the bed for a while, curious why the Emperor hadn’t entered. Outside, things grew quiet. Driven by curiosity, Fang Xu opened the grand doors, seeing several young eunuchs and the maids who had served him earlier, all timidly crowding around one person.

The back of this figure commanded such respect—it must be the Emperor. But then Fang Xu realized why the figure seemed familiar.

When the person turned around, Fang Xu was stunned. No wonder he felt he had seen her before—it was the very same little girl who had just left.

Was she caught? It made sense, given the palace was heavily guarded. She would inevitably be apprehended.

Fang Xu hadn’t intended to get involved, considering how she’d treated him. But remembering that trespassing in the palace was a capital offense, he finally stepped out and walked toward the group.

The eunuchs and maids smiled at him as he approached. Fang Xu walked to the little girl’s side, wrapped his arm around her, and boldly declared to the others that she was under his protection—she belonged to him.

But as soon as he said it, everyone fell silent. Even the little girl he held stared at him in shock.

“Is there a problem?” Fang Xu was dissatisfied with their reaction. Wasn’t it normal for a consort to have her own people?

“Consort! What are you doing?!” The maids hurried to Fang Xu, alarmed and confused.

It was as if they couldn’t comprehend Fang Xu’s intentions. But Fang Xu felt there was nothing wrong.

He gave the little girl in his arms a reassuring look, as if to say, don’t be afraid! I’ve got your back!

The little girl suddenly broke into a smile, which annoyed Fang Xu—did she not realize he was trying to save her?

“Consort! Why are you holding His Majesty?”

“His Majesty? What do you mean?”

“Of course, the Emperor!” The maids finally couldn’t help but ask, and Fang Xu was instantly dumbfounded.

He was about to speak, but after thinking it through, cold sweat broke out all over him.

He sensed something ominous about the girl in his arms, who was now smiling at him with her sharp canine teeth showing.

The smile was adorable, even alluring, but Fang Xu felt a chill run from his feet to the top of his head.

He truly felt doomed, utterly panicked.

He didn’t know whether to drop his arm from her shoulder or stay still. In the end, he forced a bitter smile to the little girl in his arms.

“You may all leave. I wish to speak privately with my beloved consort,” the little girl—no, the Emperor—said to the eunuchs and maids. They bowed and departed.

Now, only Fang Xu and the little girl remained before the hall.

No, it was Fang Xu and the Emperor in his arms.

“Ahem, do you have anything to say?” The Emperor, still held by Fang Xu, smiled at him. Fang Xu was drenched in sweat.

What could he say? At this moment, Fang Xu only thought, I’m not born to be strong; I’m doomed to fail.
