Watching Shen Guodong make a domineering exit, Steward Chen’s face turned as dark as charcoal.

Not long after Shen Guodong left, an ambulance pulled up to the entrance of the restaurant. Steward Chen immediately ordered, "Hurry, get the young master into the ambulance. I am going up to inform the master."

Steward Chen hurried to the office. After knocking on the door, an aged voice called out from within.

"Come in."

Steward Chen entered the room and stated bluntly, "The young master has been beaten and hospitalized."

Upon hearing this, the aged voice replied, "What kind of trouble has that fellow gotten himself into outside again?"

"This time, he seems to have provoked a mysterious figure. I don't recognize him, though he looked somewhat familiar. A dispute occurred downstairs just now, and he has been rushed to the hospital."

The old man sitting at the desk took off his gold-rimmed glasses and shook his head.

"Sigh, that boy really never lets anyone have a moment of peace."

"Who is the other party? Have you found out yet?"

"Not yet, but he doesn't seem like an ordinary person. Before he left, he specifically said that if there are any issues, I should go find 'Baldy'."

At the mention of this, the old man’s eyes glinted. "Baldy? Could it be that man from the construction company?"

"Master, I believe it is him. It appears that the people currently looking after the situation might be Baldy's subordinates, but Baldy is known throughout Fengcheng as someone who fears nothing. I have never heard of him having anyone above him in all these decades."

The old man tapped on his desk and said, "Go to the hospital first and see how that fellow is doing. We will settle the score with Baldy later."

Shen Guodong, however, did not take the matter to heart. After all, he had just handed Baldy a lucrative opportunity; cleaning up this minor mess should be no problem for him.

After Shen Guodong pulled Liu Yueru and Liu Yuexian away, Liu Yuexian was still in a state of bewilderment.

A moment later, she shrieked, "Wow, brother-in-law, was that really you just now? That was so cool! Your muscles aren't just for show. I thought you were all bark and no bite, but your strength is actually quite impressive."

Shen Guodong noticed her delayed reaction and couldn't help but think her reflex arc was remarkably long.

Liu Yueru reached out to touch Shen Guodong’s arms and shoulders, asking softly, "Are you alright after that fight? Are you hurt? Should we go to the hospital for a check-up?"

Shen Guodong shook his head. "It’s nothing; just minor issues."

Seeing him acting completely normal, Liu Yueru nodded and said, "If you feel any discomfort, tell me immediately so we can get you to a hospital."

Shen Guodong waved her off. "Really, it’s nothing. Anyway, you two should bank this money. It’s not safe to keep this much cash at home."

When the topic turned to money, Liu Yueru realized, "Oh my god, there’s 100,000 yuan in this case! I’m a 'ten-thousand-yuan household' now!"

As she spoke, Liu Yuexian held the case, feeling as if it had suddenly become much lighter.

Liu Yueru looked worried. "But what if they try to get this money back or call the police?"

Shen Guodong shook his head. "Don't worry, they won't call the police."

Both Liu Yueru and Liu Yuexian looked at him in confusion. "They won't? We took so much money—this is 110,000 yuan in total."

"Trust me, just deposit the money. Yuexian, take whatever you need for pocket money, and I'll help you save the rest."

Shen Guodong knew that since Liu Yuexian was just an ordinary college student, it wouldn't be wise for her to carry so much cash.

Liu Yuexian shook her head. "Oh, forget it. I’ll just come over and 'raid' your closet for more clothes later. You two keep the money."

Seeing her decline such a large sum, Shen Guodong asked curiously, "What, is this not enough for you?"

Liu Yuexian laughed. "It’s not about whether it's enough. This money belongs to you guys anyway. I’m just happy I got to walk away with some stuff today. I wasn't expecting your money."

Shen Guodong shook his head with a smile. "Fair enough. You're a student, so you don't really have a use for so much cash right now. If you need money in the future, just tell your sister, alright?"

Seeing her sister refuse the money, Liu Yueru felt a deep sense of admiration; for an average person, such a temptation would be hard to resist.

Shen Guodong added, "Don't worry, the next time we get new clothes, you'll be the first one I call to try them on."

Although they had made a good profit, neither had eaten lunch yet. Shen Guodong found a decent roast duck restaurant and they went inside.

After the meal, Liu Yuexian asked, "Now that we've eaten, are you still going to sell the clothes? You finally built up a reputation at Xinjiekou today; are you going to keep it going?"

Shen Guodong shook his head. "We can't be that hasty. Based on my judgment, most of the people who bought these clothes today did so just to try something new. They’ll go home, try them on, and realize how amazing they look, which will create more demand. But I’m not going back tomorrow—we’ll wait until next week."

Liu Yueru was puzzled. "Why not strike while the iron is hot and sell off the rest of the stock? It would show them we have a high sales volume."

Shen Guodong shook his head. "Not necessarily. I told you, I only brought twenty pieces to test the waters. We can't let them know how much stock we actually have. By waiting a week, we can return and make a killing, claiming we’ve brought in a large shipment."

"We'll raise the price slightly next week as well, maybe to around one yuan. By then, they’ll have experienced the quality and won't mind the increase."

After hearing his strategy, Liu Yuexian chuckled. "Oh, brother-in-law, you are truly a cunning one. I never expected this."

Shen Guodong replied, "It's not being cunning; it's pure talent."

As they parted ways, Liu Yuexian said, "I have to head to class now. You guys should go back or keep shopping and enjoy your honeymoon."

Through their time together, Liu Yuexian realized that Shen Guodong was not as wretched as his reputation suggested. At the very least, he seemed like a completely different person than the one she used to know.

It turned out that this brother-in-law of hers was actually quite decent.
