Chapter 2: Doors Opening and Closing
Page 1/3
When Luo Qingsian saw Mu Changge about to open the door and go home, she asked, “Um… Changge, do you have time to come over to my place for a while?”
Mu Changge was momentarily taken aback.
“It’s like this, I have to prepare to return to school in about an hour, and it’s been a while since we last chatted…”
Mu Changge nodded. “Sure, as long as it doesn’t bother you.”
“It won’t.” Luo Qingsian smiled and opened the door to invite Mu Changge inside.
“Changge, you can sit on the sofa in the living room for a bit. I’ll go get some cups and drinks.”
“Okay.”
Luo Qingsian’s home felt somewhat empty and simple, probably because she had moved some of her belongings to the school dormitory. According to online information, the five specially designated schools in Long Nation all have single dorm rooms, each about one hundred square meters.
Opening the fridge to get some drinks, Luo Qingsian thought about which topics to avoid during their chat—for example, definitely not mentioning things like “Changge, it would be great if you had a divine spirit constitution or could inherit mythical powers.” Most of her life at Zhongnan University was also off-limits, so they could only talk about old memories.
Thinking of this, Luo Qingsian felt a bit melancholic. She sighed, then took the cleaned cups and drinks and headed to the living room.

Capital of Long Nation, Supreme Command Room.
This place was not only spacious like a hall but equipped with the most advanced technology in Long Nation, radiating a strong sci-fi atmosphere; ordinary people felt as if they had stepped into a movie.
The door opened, and the officers inside saluted the newcomer.
A well-dressed elder in his sixties entered, took the main seat in the command room, then waved his hand, saying, “Everyone, please sit.” Only then did the standing officers take their seats.
“How’s the situation?”
“Report, Commander Long. According to the intelligence from the cosmic space defense station, this alien fleet is larger than ever before, with 230,000 three-thousand-meter-class warships.”
“The United States, Russia, France, and the United Kingdom are all about to enter the highest state of combat readiness.”
The elder nodded and ordered, “Issue the command: Long Nation immediately enters the highest state of combat readiness.”
“Yes, sir!”
The large screen in the command room lit up, displaying images of the alien fleet.
The elder frowned deeply. Although they had received inside information, the fleet arrived seven weeks earlier than expected. It seemed they needed to prepare for the worst…
At the same time, the five major powers of Earth entered the highest combat readiness, signaling that war was on the brink of eruption.

Outside Earth, inside the alien fleet’s flagship.
“Great Our God, praise be to You. Thank You for granting me the key to the gate.”
“Even though You dwell beyond the universe, beyond the gate, You still bestow upon me forbidden knowledge.”
“I pray here! I shall carry Your gospel to save all life on Earth!”
The alien priest held an ancient alien tome and chanted incantations.
Hear me! King of Infinite Space! Planetmover! The Foundation of Fastness! Ruler of Earthquakes! The Vanquisher of Terror! The Creator of Panic! Destroyer! The Shining Victor! Son of Chaos and the Void! The Guardian of the Abyss! God of the Outermost Darkness! Lord of Dimensions! Riddle-knower! Guardian of The Secrets! Lord of the Labyrinth! Master of the Angles! God of the Whiporwills! Omegapoint! Lord of the Gate! Opener of the Way! The Oldest! All-in-One! The One by Life Prolonged! Umr At-Tawil! Iak-Sathath! Yog Sothoth NAFL'FTHAGN!!! Your servant calls upon you!
The alien leader aboard the flagship, along with the rest, knelt devoutly, calling out in reverence.
“My great lord!!!”
“The unifier of all things!!!”
“You are the greatest being under the master of all!!!”
“Great Yog Sothoth!!!”
“Please hear our call and cast your gaze down from infinite dimensions!!!”
...
The lock-shaped mark on the alien priest’s forehead flickered with a dark light as his body began to transform slowly into an indescribable monster.
Suddenly, the cosmic space defense station outside Earth and much of the planet itself were subjected to an invisible attack. The defense station vanished amid mysterious flames, and massive explosions erupted in many places across Earth.
The cries of people echoed endlessly, the booming explosions sounding like continuous firecrackers.
Somewhere in the East African Rift Valley on Earth also suffered this assault. The forbidden entity sealed there was disturbed from its peace; it began to move, preparing to announce its presence to the entire universe.
Seeing the dark light on the alien priest’s forehead cease flickering, the alien leader ordered a full-scale invasion of Earth.
“All troops, listen up! Life on Earth is in dire peril. They need our salvation.”
“Warriors! Go rescue them!”
“May the gospel of Our God spread across the universe!”
“May the gospel of Our God spread across the universe!”
The alien fleet, upon receiving the order, plunged like rabid dogs into Earth’s atmosphere, beginning their path of conquest.
However, a tremendous and transcendent wave immediately spread from Earth outward across the universe. The lock on the alien priest’s forehead was forcibly shut by this wave.
“Roar!!!”
A tiger’s roar suddenly thundered out from the East African Rift Valley, shaking the heavens and the earth. The roar could be heard in every corner of Earth.
This roar filled all humans and creatures on Earth—except the tigers themselves—with deep dread, their bodies trembling.
Aliens both on Earth and in outer space heard the roar, halting their movements, overwhelmed by a new emotion called fear.
All the tigers on Earth responded in kind to this earthshaking roar.
“Ah!!!” A zookeeper was terrified by the tiger’s roar from inside a cage, feeling the beast was unlike usual, as if it might burst out and treat him like prey next.
The zookeeper scrambled away, knowing well he wasn’t capable of a sliding tackle!

Similar scenes unfolded in zoos and circuses everywhere.
The tigers of Earth did not perceive the thunderous roar as one from a fellow tiger; rather, they harbored deep fear and anger toward it, as though facing a life-or-death enemy.
Outside Earth, inside the alien fleet’s flagship.
The alien leader steadied the nearly collapsing alien priest and asked anxiously, “Priest, what is happening? Why can we no longer hear Our God’s gospel?”
The alien priest, as if fatally wounded, kept bleeding and spoke with sorrow, “Our God… Our God has abandoned Earth.”
“What? Why? Why would Our God abandon Earth?” The alien leader could hardly believe his ears.
Our God above, all-knowing and omnipotent, how could You so easily forsake Earth?
What terrible event had transpired?
The alien priest coughed several times and, with utter despair, uttered the divine words he had heard in his last moments.
“That… that is the only… existence. Even the Great Old Ones dare not offend it…”
“Ultimate Beast…”
“It is the Ultimate Beast!”
“The universe’s singular ultimate species!”
With those final words spoken, the alien priest dissolved into a mist of blood.

Capital of Long Nation, Supreme Command Room.
Now, the command room was in chaos. The elder, ignoring his dignity, barely sat down before issuing orders again.
“Hurry! Quickly confirm what has happened!”
“Order all war zones to open fire immediately. We must drive the alien invaders out of our homeland!”
“Yes, sir!”
The officers began contacting all war zones, mobilizing every resource to confront the alien fleet.
As for the earlier tiger roar, everyone had assumed it was a trick by the aliens.
No one yet realized that an even more terrifying being than the alien fleet was about to emerge from the forbidden zone in the East African Rift Valley.
Life on Earth was about to face the brink of extinction.
All life in the universe was about to welcome the arrival of the Reclaimer.
