Chapter 10: The Human Emperor Ascends, the Celestial Sovereign Emerges
Page 1/3
Leize—a primeval god with the body of a dragon and the head of a man—dwells in this place. He is the god of thunder, the sovereign deity overseeing thunder with the highest divine power among the ancient gods. His thunderous might is fierce and unyielding.
Leize holds another title as well: he is the current supreme ruler of the True Dragon clan. Because of this, he is venerated by all beings and people alike, and is respectfully called the Dragon God of Leize, named after his domain.
One day, Hua Xu, the chieftain of a human tribe, happened to pass by Leize. At the shore of Leize Lake, she stumbled upon an unusually large footprint. Curious, she stepped into it. Instantly, she seemed frozen in place, unable to move.
After a while, Hua Xu regained her senses as if a pause button had been lifted, and at the same moment, she realized she was pregnant. Gratefully, she offered thanks to the Dragon God of Leize, who, upon hearing her gratitude, bestowed blessings to protect Hua Xu and her unborn child.
Twelve years later, Hua Xu gave birth to twins—a boy and a girl—born of dragon and phoenix lineage. The elder brother was named Taihao, and the younger sister Youjiao.
Taihao possessed divine virtue. He unified all human tribes, established the Chen region as the human realm’s center, and performed the sacred ritual at Mount Tai. Observing the people’s rudimentary fishing and hunting skills, he invented nets for catching fish, beasts, and birds, greatly enhancing their productivity. He also taught the people to domesticate wild animals, largely alleviating their hunger.
Taihao promoted the practice of knot-tying for record-keeping, freeing humans from the constraints of time and space in documenting events, thus enabling the spread and exchange of information.
He invented musical instruments such as the pottery xun and stringed zithers, composing melodies and ballads that brought music into everyday life.
To elevate the people from ignorance and savagery, Taihao looked up to the clouds, rain, snow, thunder, and lightning, observed winds, fog, and the movements of birds and beasts. He discerned the principles of yin and yang in heaven and earth and, atop Mount Guatai in Tianshui, created the Eight Trigrams—eight simple yet profound symbols encapsulating all phenomena in heaven and earth.
The Eight Trigrams unlocked human wisdom and became the cultural foundation of humanity, advocating harmony between heaven and man.
Since the Eight Trigrams symbolized various natural and human phenomena, upon their creation they received heaven’s blessing. Auspicious clouds and holy light converged; the earth suddenly blossomed into a sea of flowers; divine winds stirred petals to dance; trees swayed with the breeze.
Clouds of blessing, sacred light, gentle winds, rain, soil, petals, leaves, and fur combined into a wondrous spectacle embodying infinite divine charm and mystery between heaven and earth.
This celestial phenomenon recognized Taihao’s great achievements.
The primordial gods Fuxi and Nüwa were moved and came forth.
Fuxi greatly admired Taihao’s accomplishments and thus bestowed upon him the name Fuxi—Taihao Fuxi—and recognized him as the emperor of humanity with a divine stele.
Nüwa, seeing how Taihao Fuxi’s wife Youjiao also contributed to civilizing the people—crafting instruments, teaching etiquette, and instituting marriage—granted her the name Nüwa, hence Youjiao Nüwa.
Later, Taihao Fuxi and Youjiao Nüwa’s mother, Hua Xu, were honored as the “Ancestors of Humanity,” with descendants referring to Hua Xu as the “Primordial Matriarch.”
Moreover, owing to the Dragon God of Leize, dragons became the totem of humanity; the ancestors of humankind regarded themselves as descendants of the dragon.
Fuxi, witnessing the celestial phenomena still manifest, used a divine stele to transform these wonders into the laws of heaven and earth. Upon forming these cosmic laws, Fuxi was inspired to name the stele the Heavenly Emperor Stele, and he took on the title of Heavenly Emperor Dijun.
Dijun, seated among the heavenly emperors, bore the divine name Fuxi.

At the moment Fuxi proclaimed himself Heavenly Emperor Dijun, a silver vortex suddenly appeared in the sky. From this swirling portal emerged a handsome black-haired young man and a petite white-haired maiden.
After landing gracefully, they surveyed the world before them.
“Athena, teacher, have we arrived in the Age of Myth?” the young man asked.
“Indeed, no doubt about it! The spiritual energy between heaven and earth is immensely dense; this is truly the Age of Myth,” Athena confirmed.
“What should we do now?”
“Hmm... I will first send the owl to gather intelligence. Since I am not a deity of Huaxia, we must proceed cautiously.”
“Do you mean we might be targeted?”
“Not necessarily—it’s just to prevent unnecessary trouble.”
Mu Changge nodded. “If it gets too troublesome, I’ll sell you off for a good price, Athena.”
“You brat! I could deal with you right now for your impudence!”
“Ha ha...”
After some time, Mu Changge and Athena learned that the human emperor had just enthroned the Heavenly Emperor.

Heavenly Emperor Dijun ascended the summit of Kunlun Mountain and resolved to establish the divine court there in the heavens.
Using his immense divine power and the Heavenly Emperor Stele as foundation, Dijun summoned many ancient gods to build the magnificent divine court—the Kunlun Imperial Capital.
Then, from among the ancient gods, Dijun appointed twelve divine generals: the Punishment Goddess Queen Mother of the West, Fire God Zhurong, Water God Gonggong, Wood God Jiumang, Metal God Rushou, Earth God Houtu, War God Xingtian, Ancestral God Zongbu, Overseer Luwu, Patrol God Yingzhao, Drought Goddess Nüba, and Rain God Jimeng.
Among these, Zhurong, Gonggong, Jiumang, Rushou, and Houtu represented the Five Elements.
Finally, Dijun held a grand feast in the Kunlun Imperial Capital to celebrate his marriage to the divine consorts Xihe and Changyi, who became the heavenly empresses.
News of Heavenly Emperor Dijun establishing the divine court, appointing divine generals, and marrying the empresses spread like wildfire, stirring the entire world.
The realm between heaven and earth brimmed with joyous energy as the gods of the world gathered at Kunlun Imperial Capital to congratulate the Heavenly Emperor.

Among the gods journeying to Kunlun Imperial Capital, two figures were particularly peculiar.
A man and a woman, both seated atop a giant owl, caught the attention of the other gods. To the gods, the man was the divine envoy of the woman, yet she was unlike any of their kind.
She was a deity from another realm. Though her envoy was the human race fashioned by the primordial goddess Nüwa, she bore the aura of an otherworldly god.
The handsome black-haired man wore a school uniform not belonging to this era, while the petite and adorable white-haired girl donned a white robe and a crown woven from olive branches.
The surrounding ancient gods whispered and pointed at Mu Changge and Athena, speculating on their purpose in attending the feast of Heavenly Emperor Dijun.
Mu Changge and Athena seemed oblivious to the gods’ murmurs, instead admiring and discussing the gods’ somewhat unusual appearances while cross-referencing their memories with the Classic of Mountains and Seas recorded in the Earth Book.
“Athena, teacher, look over there! So beautiful!”
Athena glanced toward the direction Mu Changge indicated and saw an ancient god resembling a human but with a leopard’s tail and tiger’s fangs, exuding a fierce demeanor. This deity was the Punishment Goddess Queen Mother of the West.
“Uh... well... your XP is quite strange,” Mu Changge remarked.
“What? Don’t you find that azure divine bird beautiful?”
Mu Changge scratched his head, puzzled as he looked at Athena.
The divine bird Mu Changge referred to was the companion of the Queen Mother of the West—the Azure Luan. It resembled a phoenix and peacock, though uniformly azure in color, its feathers were splendid and elegant, making it the most beautiful divine bird in the world.
Athena paused briefly and cleared her throat to ease the awkwardness.
“Yes, it is quite beautiful. After all, it is the only one of its kind in the world. Not only lovely but incredibly precious.”
Mu Changge burst out laughing.
“I’m telling you, Athena, you definitely thought something else just now, didn’t you?”
“Impossible! Nonsense!”
Athena pouted in mock defiance, turning her head away.
Mu Changge watched the pouty yet adorable Athena and felt his heart race. Testing this seasoned elder is truly torment!
Though not wearing black stockings, Athena’s feet, as translucent and exquisite as jade, held an alluring beauty.
Her flawless fair skin, her white hair that seemed to dance with the moon’s spirit, and her deep, night-black eyes evoked an indescribable poetic charm that stirred an inexplicable impulse within.
Ah! Captain! Please, let me explain!!!
