Chapter Five: The Battle Between the Lumberjack and the Logging Robot

Su He rose from the bed and gazed out at the forest. “Judging by the noise, the robots must have arrived. I wonder if Big Bear and Bear Two can handle them? No, I have to go help.” Saying this, she dressed quickly, started Bald Strong’s vehicle, and headed into the forest.

Seeing the lumberjack robots approaching in the distance, Big Bear said to Bear Two, Gigi, and Maomao, “The robots are here. Everyone, get ready.”

“Alright,” they replied.

Carrot Head was the first to charge forward, swiftly digging numerous pits in the ground. “Let me show you just how formidable I am,” he declared.

When the robots passed over the pits, they suddenly fell in. They tried to push themselves up with their hands, but since the surrounding ground was also full of pits, their hands sank in as well. Seeing this, Carrot Head was filled with joy.

“Yes! Success! Oh yeah!”

[Warning: Unknown pits detected. Activating snow cannon attack system.]

Immediately, the front of the robot revealed a cannon device that unleashed a powerful gust of wind mixed with snow, destroying all the hidden pits beneath. Carrot Head was blown away by the fierce blizzard.

The robot pushed itself up and emerged from the pits.

“King Gigi, Carrot Head has failed,” Maomao said from the tree, watching the scene and speaking to Gigi beside him.

“Hmph, at the crucial moment, it’s up to me to step in,” Gigi said confidently.

“Long live King Gigi!”

“Robots, accept the righteous punishment from your king!” Gigi grabbed some fruit from a nearby basket and hurled it at the robot. But being quite blind, Gigi missed such a large target.

“King Gigi, you missed.”

“What are you waiting for? Throw faster!” Maomao, energized like he’d been injected with adrenaline, rapidly threw fruits from the basket, while Tutu blew a horn nearby, cheering him on.

As fruits flew through the air toward the robot—

[Danger alert: Activating defense mode.]

The robot raised its large cutting tool in front of it, reflecting all the flying fruit back. Seeing this, Maomao quickly covered his head and ducked, while Gigi took the brunt of the attack, ending up badly battered.

Hiding behind a tree, Big Bear and Bear Two watched the scene unfold. “Ah, Gigi and the others have failed.”

“Hey, Big Bear, is this really okay?” Bear Two was tangled in ropes.

“Stop wasting time. Help me with this!” Big Bear kicked Bear Two forward. The robot, confused by Bear Two’s sudden appearance, wore a puzzled expression.

Bear Two began an exaggerated dance. “I am a big bear, a mighty big bear!” While showing off, he wrapped the ropes around the robot. Big Bear joined in, dancing alongside him. Soon, the robot was tightly bound in ropes.

[System check: Target behavior is erratic and unidentifiable. Danger imminent.]

The robot threw a punch. Big Bear quickly dodged, but as the robot raised its arm, it inadvertently lifted Big Bear into the air. Then it aimed its cutting tool at him. Seeing this, Bear Two quickly grabbed the robot’s other arm. During this struggle, Big Bear leapt down and successfully pulled the robot’s arm closer.

“Tighten it some more.”

“Alright.”

With the two bears working together, they managed to bind the robot’s arms. Just as Big Bear and Bear Two celebrated, the robot began thrashing wildly, breaking free from their control.

At that moment, Gigi and Maomao arrived, joining Big Bear and Bear Two in pulling the robot, while Carrot Head dug pits in the ground again.

“Big Bear, toss me the rope!”

“Got it.”

Carrot Head caught the rope and alternated passing it through the pits, further restraining the robot.

[Preparing snow cannon mode.]

The cannon at the robot’s front reopened, and a massive snowball shot out at the group, scattering Big Bear and Bear Two.

The robot broke free from its bonds and charged at them.

“Bear Two, run!” Big Bear grabbed Bear Two from the ground, and everyone fled. During the escape, Bear Two tripped over a fallen tree. The robot pursued, chopping the nearby tree. Just as the tree was about to fall on Bear Two, Big Bear leapt and used his body to block it.

“Are you alright, Bear Two?” Big Bear anxiously asked.

“Big Bear, Big Bear, that’s too much!” Angry, Bear Two charged at the robot but was caught in the robot’s counterattack. The tree Big Bear had been holding then crashed down on him.

“Big Bear, Bear Two, we’re here to save you!” Hastily, they picked up snowballs from the ground and began throwing them at the robot. The robot powered up its cannon again, preparing to launch more snowballs. Suddenly, a blue vehicle burst out from the grass and slammed into the robot. The robot toppled to the side, and the snowballs struck a nearby large tree.

Big Bear quickly broke free and looked at the vehicle. “That’s Bald Strong’s car.”

At that moment, Su He poked her head out of the car. “Big Bear, Bear Two, I’m here to help.”

“It’s Su He!” Bear Two exclaimed joyfully.

“Xiao He, weren’t you injured? How can you just come out like this?” Big Bear asked worriedly.

Su He smiled. “Hey, I’m fine. I’m also part of this forest. How could I ignore such an important matter as protecting it?”

“Big Bear, I’ll drive to distract the robot. You all find a chance to open the robot’s secret compartment and press the red button.”

“Got it.”

Su He drove the car wildly in front of the robot, shouting, “Come chase me, you rusty tin can!”

Enraged, the robot began attacking Su He, firing two steel cables to firmly hook the car. It then smashed a powerful punch toward her. Seeing this, Su He immediately leapt out of the car. The vehicle was instantly crushed, and her heart leapt into her throat.

Already injured and after jumping from the car, Su He fell to the ground, too weak to stand. Watching the robot draw nearer, she sighed deeply.

“My time has come.”

Yet, it seemed fortune favored her. From afar came a voice, drawing the robot’s gaze away. A lumber truck approached, with Bald Strong at the wheel.

“Su He, don’t be afraid. I’m here to save you.”
