Chapter 24: Heading to the United States
Regarding George’s concerns, Huang Feiyang offered only a single sentence.
"Talent is priceless!"
"I understand what to do!"
Upon hearing Huang Feiyang’s words, George immediately grasped his meaning. After a few more exchanges, the two hung up.
Putting down his phone, a strange look flickered in Huang Feiyang’s eyes. Could it be? Ever since his rebirth, had his luck reached an explosive peak? First, he had found an excellent professional manager like George! George’s friend happened to be a project leader for a chip design team! And now, he had the opportunity to poach an entire chip design team? Tsk, tsk, tsk!
Beside him, Chen Xiruo’s icy, beautiful face remained as calm as a frozen pond. She had long known that Huang Feiyang owned three companies. Yang Yiyi, however, widened her eyes.
"Brother Feiyang, you started a company?" Yang Yiyi asked, blinking with curiosity.
"That's right!" Huang Feiyang nodded gently, making no attempt to deny it.
"You're amazing!" Yang Yiyi looked at him with admiration but did not probe further. Clearly, she wasn't interested in what kind of company he had started; she was only interested in Huang Feiyang himself. Nothing more, nothing less.
Naturally, Huang Feiyang didn't elaborate. Taking the initiative to boast would feel a bit showy. There was no helping it; his three companies had risen too rapidly. Especially FY Technology! It was no exaggeration to say it was currently the most popular company in the country. Relying on its three smartphone models, it had swept across the entire Chinese market, leaving major phone manufacturers with nothing to do but stare in frustration.
In fact, as the X-Phone grew increasingly popular, there had been instances of counterfeit products appearing. However, after several daring gangs and companies were sent to prison and hit with astronomical fines by the courts, no one dared to break the law anymore. Even a fool now understood that FY Technology was not to be trifled with. Behind it, there was definitely someone powerful backing them! With so many ways to make money, why insist on provoking FY Technology?
Time passed day by day, and before they knew it, it was September 1st. The previous day, the freshman military training at Jinghua University had officially come to an end.
With September 11th drawing closer, Huang Feiyang was filled with immense anticipation. He wondered how much wealth he would be able to rake in. Over these past few days, FY Technology had transferred 2 billion RMB abroad under the guise of investment. This meant that, in total, FY Technology had moved 3 billion RMB out of the country. Yet, even so, its balance sheet still showed billions in funds because the three models of the X-Phone were selling too well. The daily limited release of over 100,000 units across the country remained consistently stable in sales.
Because of this, the major phone manufacturers could no longer sit still. They had launched a price war, discounting many of their models. Their tactics helped them reclaim a significant portion of the market share, as these major manufacturers still held brand influence and possessed a loyal customer base. Otherwise, the sales of the X-Phone would have been even more staggering. It is worth mentioning that George had already found agents in several overseas markets, including Southeast Asia, Europe, the Americas, and some Third World countries.
At noon, after lunch, Huang Feiyang, Chen Xiruo, and Yang Yiyi were taking a walk on campus.
"You're taking a long leave?" Hearing Huang Feiyang’s announcement, both Chen Xiruo and Yang Yiyi widened their eyes. This guy had only just started school, and he wanted a month-long leave? Was he serious?
"That's right!" Huang Feiyang nodded gently and smiled. "I need to head to the United States!"
The two beauties looked at each other.
"Why?" Chen Xiruo asked instinctively.
"Company matters!" Huang Feiyang shrugged, giving a vague answer. The truth was, he couldn't reveal his real objective. The implications were far too vast and terrifying. If word got out that he intended to short the US stock indices, who knew what people would think? He might end up becoming a scapegoat. Naturally, this matter had to die with him.
In fact, the three teams Huang Feiyang had hired in advance still didn't know his true purpose. They were scattered across the UK, the US, and Hong Kong, simply manipulating his funds according to his instructions and earning "pocket money" that was almost negligible.
By now, the three teams had begun manipulating countless accounts to spread the funds thin, avoiding anyone's attention. Furthermore, with the three teams managing 2 billion in total, that averaged out to only a few hundred million per team. In the context of three massive trading markets, a few hundred million was virtually invisible, especially since the funds were so highly fragmented.
Hearing his explanation, Chen Xiruo and Yang Yiyi nodded with a hint of reluctance. Having spent time together, they had grown accustomed to having Huang Feiyang around. With him leaving so suddenly, they found it hard to adjust.
In reality, Huang Feiyang wasn't just talking. By that evening, he had already finalized his leave. It was exactly one month. The process had been remarkably smooth because, before requesting the leave, he had made a single phone call and spoken directly to the university president. Only the two of them knew what was said.
As night fell, Huang Feiyang boarded a flight to the United States accompanied by his team: eight bodyguards and several lawyers well-versed in the laws of various US states. The group totaled nearly 20 people. These lawyers had been hired through a law firm, costing Huang Feiyang millions of dollars. Yet, he didn't feel the sting at all. He knew very well that in a place like the United States, having money wasn't enough; you also needed lawyers—good lawyers. Only then could one truly live comfortably. Spending some money to resolve potential trouble—why wouldn't he do it?
His purpose in going to the US was to accumulate wealth. Naturally, he didn't want to waste time on trivialities. It was that simple.
Before the plane took off, Huang Feiyang called George to arrange the next steps.
"Yes, BOSS!"
"Everything is ready!"
"I understand what to do!"
