Chapter 31: A Life of Decadence, Abducting the Heiress
"Enjoy yourself tonight!"
"This..." Zhou Chen wanted to refuse, but Zhang Long cut him off before he could finish.
"What's with the 'this'? A real man shouldn't be as hesitant as a woman!"
Zhang Long waved his hand dismissively and added in an unquestionable tone, "Women are like clothing, brothers are like limbs. Since Brother Chen has come to my place, feel free to enjoy yourself, or else people will say I, as your elder brother, am a poor host!"
Judging by Zhang Long's expression and tone, Zhou Chen knew he wasn't joking. He could only think: *What a chaotic circle!*
In this moment, Zhou Chen truly understood the extravagance of the upper class and the worthlessness of life for those at the bottom in this ancient society. Zhou Chen was no saint, nor did he intend to play the fool by trying to shake a tree with his own insignificance.
When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
"Since you are so insistent, it would be rude of me to refuse," Zhou Chen said with a bow and a smile. "Brother Long, I appreciate your generosity. I shall accept your kindness as commanded."
If he continued to refuse, Zhang Long wouldn't say anything, but he would certainly harbor resentment. Besides, why should Zhou Chen refuse? He wasn't some self-righteous saint. He had frequented the Snow Moon Pavilion, so why should he hesitate with Zhang Long's maids?
"Good!" Zhang Long laughed. He looked at the two women, Hongxiu and Cuizhu, and ordered, "Serve Brother Chen well!"
"Yes, Master!"
Hongxiu and Cuizhu nodded hurriedly. They knew very well that if they didn't serve Zhou Chen properly or failed to satisfy him, they would be in serious trouble.
Hongxiu’s plump body pressed against him, and Zhou Chen felt the heavy, soft, and smooth sensation against his arm. Cuizhu was much the same.
"Brother Chen, make yourself at home. If you take a fancy to any of these other maids, just call for them!" Zhang Long said, picking up a cup of wine poured by a servant.
"Many thanks, Brother Long!" Zhou Chen quickly raised his glass. "I’ll offer a toast to show my gratitude!"
"Cheers!"
The two men drank and ate, speaking only of worldly pleasures. The clothes of the maid in Zhang Long's arms were already disheveled; he seemed to be practicing his "Dragon Claw" technique. Hongxiu’s curvaceous hips were now perched on Zhou Chen’s lap, and he felt a sudden jolt. He hadn't expected Zhou Chen, who appeared to be a gentle and refined young master, to be so well-endowed.
*You truly cannot judge a book by its cover!*
Hongxiu tightened her legs, a faint ripple of emotion stirring in her heart. She dared not lose focus, suppressing her shock to serve him with all her heart.
Once they had finished eating and drinking, a slightly tipsy Zhang Long dragged Zhou Chen off to bathe. Upon entering the dedicated bathhouse, Zhou Chen was secretly stunned. The pool must have been ten square meters; how much hot water did that take to boil? How much manpower and material resources were consumed for a single bath?
*How extravagant!* Zhou Chen sighed inwardly.
The pool was already filled with hot water. Zhou Chen was no longer reserved; he figured he might as well just treat it as soaking his feet with Zhang Long. He raised his arms, and Hongxiu and Cuizhu carefully removed his clothes, as did the maids for Zhang Long.
Soon, Zhou Chen’s lean and athletic physique was revealed. While not as bulky as Zhang Long’s, it was equally masculine and full of power—and, in terms of natural endowment, he was even more impressive than Zhang Long.
*A tactical error,* Zhang Long thought, glancing over and feeling a pang of regret. Had he known, he wouldn't have bathed with Zhou Chen. He quickly stepped into the pool.
Zhou Chen stepped in and found the water temperature to be over forty degrees—a bit high, but it had no effect on him. It was tolerable for ordinary people, let alone a martial artist like himself. As they settled in, maids brought in various medicinal herbs and flower petals to scatter into the pool. Zhou Chen was not surprised; martial artists often took medicinal baths, and adding herbs while soaking was common practice.
Hongxiu and Cuizhu stripped down to their undergarments and entered the pool, scrubbing Zhou Chen’s back from either side. On the other side, Zhang Long was attended to by two more beautiful maids, with others standing by holding fruits and wine.
*So, I really was a bumpkin,* Zhou Chen thought, leaning his head back against Hongxiu’s ample bosom. He closed his eyes, his mind drifting far away. The scent of herbs mixed with a faint, milky fragrance lingered in the air, and he looked entirely content.
*Master Chen is truly strong,* Hongxiu mused.
After the bath, Zhang Long gestured to the seven or eight maids nearby and smiled. "Brother Chen, these are all yours. I won't disturb you any further! You lot, serve him well!"
With that, Zhang Long walked away, arm-in-arm with two maids. Hongxiu and Cuizhu escorted Zhou Chen back to his room, with the remaining maids following behind.
Back in the room, Zhou Chen didn't stand on ceremony. He scooped up Hongxiu and tossed her onto the couch. If he didn't take the initiative, these maids would have a hard time. He was, after all, a man who loved to help others—especially when Zhang Long’s hospitality was so hard to decline.
*The little one has such strength, no less than a cub of the Ten Fiends. It seems it has something to do with his hobbies...* Zhou Chen thought of the Heaven-Defying Emperor, who loved drinking milk. He liked it too!
"Master..."
"Gently... mmm..."
The night turned fiery.
The bright, clear moon seemed to turn crimson. Under the water-like moonlight, a slender figure in white descended like a celestial fairy from the moon palace, landing on a majestic and magnificent peak outside Qinghe County. She stood with her hands behind her back, as indifferent as an immortal, perched upon a giant cliffside boulder, as if she might ascend to heaven at any moment.
A moment later, another figure hurried up from behind—a tall, hulking man, over two meters high and as sturdy as an ox. A scar that spanned his entire face looked like the mouth of a ghost, appearing hideous and terrifying in the pale moonlight.
"Your subordinate pays respects, My Lady!"
"Tomorrow, Chen Fan’s daughter, Chen Feng, will head to the Qingyun Sect to seek apprenticeship. Take your men and intercept her to lure out Chen Fan. I will then personally strike him down."
Her cold, moving voice rang out with the mountain wind, carrying a chilling sense of slaughter.
"Yes, My Lady!"
"If you fail, you know the consequences!"
As the cold words faded, the woman in white leaped from the boulder. Her white ribbons fluttered as she drifted away, disappearing into the night.
...
The next day. Zhang Manor.
Zhou Chen awoke lazily. He swept his gaze over the chaotic room and felt a bit embarrassed. It seemed he had overdone it last night. He looked at the tangled limbs of the women around him and cursed inwardly, "This corrupt, decadent aristocratic life! But... I like it!"
Hongxiu’s long lashes fluttered as she opened her eyes. Seeing Zhou Chen, she wrapped her fair arms around his neck and pulled him close. Zhou Chen leaned down, feeling the warmth of her face.

After a breakfast of milk, Zhou Chen was dressed and groomed by Hongxiu and the others before leaving the room. He checked his interface:

"Holy crap! It actually broke two thousand!" Zhou Chen was stunned. Two thousand wasn't much, but it was the harvest of a single night. He thought about how, even though he hadn't "fought ten men" like Master Ip, he had managed about eighty percent of that. Moreover, it was his first time experiencing the hobbies of the Heaven-Defying Emperor since coming to this world.
"Brother Chen, how do you feel?" Zhang Long walked over, laughing as he clapped Zhou Chen on the shoulder.
"Excellent!" Zhou Chen smiled slightly. It wasn't flattery—it was the truth.
"As long as you had a good time!"
Today was a rest day, so neither of them had to report to the magistrate's office. With the beautiful maids waiting on them, Zhou Chen and Zhang Long drank and lingered until noon.
"Chief, this is bad!" Just as Zhang Long and Zhou Chen were enjoying themselves with the maids, Zhao Hu came running over, looking frantic.
"What happened?" Zhang Long raised an eyebrow and asked in a deep voice.
"I just received word: the Magistrate's daughter has been kidnapped at Luofeng Slope!"
